Can I sugest a venue change to famous daves? It's in the same area- it's on the right side of 175 though.

questions for you.

1 - how big is the parking lot
2 - would they be ok with us parking there
3 - what do they serve
4 - what's the pricing like for their food
5 - how busy are they on Sundays

answers:

1 - pretty huge, it's shared with other restraunts and a plaza -- never had an issue with group parking.

2 - If we're paying customers I can't see them saying much

3 - It's kinda southern style BBQ type stuff, pulled pork, brisket, BBQ chicken--freaking great IMO...

4 - I can't remember exactly though I'd say comparable to Fud Ruckers, though I always get two meals (diner and then a good brunch the next day) out of thier servings.

5 - I can imagen with most restaruants down that way pretty busy, but even when busy I've been able to get a table pretty quick though.

How many showed up last meet?

not a ton, but a few.

the reason i ask about their possible problems with people loitering in the parking lot is this: MOST restaurants, unless they've given permission beforehand, don't like people loitering in their lot. paying customers or no, it doesn't matter...i've been with groups that have been kicked out before, even after paying a few hundred(for the entire group). i don't know if anyone asked permission for Fudd's, but i guess go and talk to the manager of that restaurant to see if they'd be OK with it. besides - it shows some respect for the restaurants in the area.

not at all, instead of turning toward Fuds turn the other way (I can't remember the name of that road) and it's over by the Toys R us, Dicks, etc.

I'll call the restaraunt if we get a few more on the bandwagon.

Dobbin Rd.

sounds like it could be a nice change of venue if it's just on the other side of the street...

Unless they put something else in the parking lot recently, Famous Dave's sits out by itself somewhat and parking won't be a problem in the afternoon. I've had their food, it's very good. I'm pretty sure I can make this one (with my car hopefully), and I wouldn't mind switching to a new place for a change of pace.

Don't ask me, I don't organize these things. I just didn't feel like waiting for adate to be announced.

Watch me get owned and have someone else start a thread for the 31'st or the 17th or whatever it is...

Anyhow, if it's cheap and edible, I'm down. (There's that 14th St DC reference again. )

Whatcha got under the hood CrashTestJoey? I know youre not runnin' rotors any more...

And Rotor vs. Piston, did you use the granny's speed shop kit or were you on your own?

I love creative engineering.

You just organized it by creating the thread. We don't have a team captain here. I've got an LS1 in the FD (mouting kit supplied by Hinson). THe FC I sold to krautrocket has a Chevy 350 installed witha Grannys' kit. He'll probably make it too.

I wouldn't worry about it. From what I've seen at Fuddrucker's, there is no trouble and even if people do hang out, it's generally not for long enough that anyone would complain. In the middle of a Sunday afternoon, there will be enough parking for anyone in this group without a problem.
