I'll still be there. It is showing 20% chance of precipitation, but otherwise, nothing to stop me.

Awesome guys! Make sure to pass the word on to other 7 owners you know as well.

I just got my new clutch in in the Turbo. I just have to fix the fan and hopefully I'll have time to wax it before sat. Worst case Scenario I drive the GTUs. It looks like **** though, it's covered in mud from the last Drift Nirvana.

Just took the FD out for it's first highway shakedown drive. Happy to report it's running like a top. I'll be there!

Thx Yup, I did the whole shebang at the same time. Will need a proper alignment now that the car is lowered though.

soo.... my FC started making a really weird high pitched noise coming from the engine... so I have no idea if it'll be there or not... but I will be.

it seems to be engine load dependent and doesn't happen till the engine is warm.... odd.

Matt,

Did you put your own coilovers in? I ask because I'll be picking mine up Saturday before the meet and would much rather do it myself (with help) versus paying a shop to do it.

Let me know, or you could just tell me to **** off........

is it rev dpendent?, have you ruled out the belt? does it happen with the clutch out or in? It could be a throw out bearing squeak which is minor, if its belt just replace them, or whichever one its making noise.

Looks like I may have to host a garage day sometime ;P Andy wants to do oil coolers and I know you wanted to do the alternator as well. I'll see when I have a free weekend.

Well you still have a corolla.

You know what you're doing, but My guess would be the alternator or waterpump. Does it do it when it's parked and you blip the throttle from under the hood? Could it be trans bearings?

If you drive the corolla down you can take the GTUs. Like I said before, it looks like ****, but It's still a 7.

Well, Andy isn't as nice a guy as me, so I get to be first on the list. Plus he'll probably be fishin' anyway.

It's already an FD alt.

when I rev it it gets quieter... it seems to be load (vacuum) dependent, not really RPM dependent.

here is a link with more info: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/high-pitched-whining-sound-896921/

it doesn't sound like a belt... and they're still decently tight. and it's not clutch dependent, so I don't think it's clutch bearings....

hopefully I can figure it out tonight after I put my corolla back together and get it out of the garage
