Not so many 7's at this one. What? Too cold for you guys/gals?
Really was a great day weather-wise. And a terrific turnout! Everyone must have had a little cabin fever from all this snow.
The rest of the pics HERE.
A great start to 2010. 30+ cars! From all over the state, even borrowed a Maryland R3 in the mix for a while.

Meet #5 - 2010 (Sat. 22nd) 10:00 am until.
A return to Lynchburg Mazda for hopefully what's going to be an annual thing. Last year in May we had a huge group show up and a beautiful day for our gathering, lunch and afternoon drive through the mountains. This year we plan to do the same thing.
More details coming soon.

Now that we have our very own Mazda blue diamond flag, so generously donated by Mazda Corp & Lynchburg Mazda, should we make it official with a meet? Of course we should. Kind of an ceremony donating the flag to the club kind of thing.
We could have a club flag signing, pictures with the flag, wrap the flag around your car ... whatever.
Date: Saturday 8/21/10
Place: Lynchburg Mazda
Starting time: 10:00 am
Lunchtime: 1:00 pm
Drive-time: 2:00 pm
The day includes:
* Mazda goodie box from the local area's Mazda rep!!
* As always, a great drive on some of our local curvy mountain roads
* Adding more info soon

Hey guys, looks like this thread kinda died off but figured I'd drop a word in....anyway, my name is Anthony, I just graduated from UNCC here in Charlotte and got a job up in Lynchburg, VA that I'll be relocating to in July. I'm a die hard rotorhead and will NEED to find some local enthusiasts to link up with in VA, I think I know just about everyone in NC lol. So if you guys have a monthly meet I could attend or want to start one please let me know

Hey Anthony, thanks for bumping the thread. We are still around, just don't have as many 7's in the group as we used to. Be glad to have you join in though. Click on the CVMC link below if you haven't already, and join in.
Where's the job?

Thanks for the response, landed a mechanical engineering job at the AREVA facility.

If you are in Lynchburg area now, there is no emissions inspection, so Catless should be fine. I know on no inspection station inspecting the window tint. I have had my cars passed always, with more than legal tint. Of course, maybe they are checking more closely now, though I wasn't even sure if it was part of the inspection criteria.

I don't know if I'd say catless is legal. When I had mine inspected I knew the mechanic and asked him if it was an issue. He told me NOT to tell him! LOL. So, I passed. Long story short, don't say anything, maybe the look of your presilencer will not raise any eyebrows.
Can't offer any knowledge of a "race shop" anywhere around Lynchburg. I'd like to know if you find one though. The only thought I have is that maybe a former mechanic of Lynchburg Mazda (who now works with Apple Ford) would entertain some ideas on his own time.
