Unfortunately the tranny was brand new about a year ago. Not sure what's wrong but it's become a bitch to get into gear under load. Probably cause I let that damn MiataGotBoost guy get too near the clutch.

If my I am correct I think I did your clutch and the next day you went 11.69 correct

Actually, no. The day after you did my clutch I went 11.75 so see, before MiataGotBoost, 11.69, after MiataGotBoost, 11.75 - a 6 tenths of 1% increase in time, proof positive, turn off the lights, lock the door, case closed, the glove fits.
It is of course possible, but highly improbable, that repeated powershifts with an occasional **** up from 2nd to 3rd, might have some tiny influence on the matter, but I prefer to blame you.

Does anyone have any pics of the new setup yet? I would love to see what the new shop looks like. Do you think Ray is going to be able to beat Altered's 350 Z's? If he can that will do worlds for his business.

That does not surprise me. When at Import Sports, I never really had any respect for Mike. It always new that he was handed the money for the shop, and he was always dicking around, while his Dad was in the shop sweating over every engine. They always had the "Worlds fastest 3000gt" but nobody really raced a lot of those. I heard that their Z's were nice, but I only heard that about his own. And of course Joe's Supra was done nice, but again, that was Joe's personal car. I don't think they will be able to keep the overhead going much longer. How is your car Ernie? You have that thing ready to put the smack down
Oh yeah, has anyone ever seen the video of Mike and his Dad tuning that NSX they put a turbo on? It is making it's pull and then all of the sudden BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM the motor blows. It is pretty tough to get a honda motor to pop like that, but they did a Damn Good Job.

SlingShotRX7,
Yes we do stock performance clutches, I will have to see what we currently have in stock. The labor on clutch job is 5hrs. In the future please call the shop for quotes.

Ray, not to put you on the spot, but will PFS still be holding to the rule that they won't install competitor's parts? I personally think there's a lot of money to be made in installs, be they of PFS parts or otherwise...

Once they find out its the part defective and not the labor installing it, you then have the manufacter saying it was faulty labor so they can get out of responsibility for it. Thats why most shops won't do it. To many headaches involved.
As for Peter's response, he simply said why should he install his competitor's parts when they don't sell or install his own? I say, 1) Most of his competitors fabricate parts, but don't run a shop (HKS, Greddy, Blitz, M2 - now that it's gone) etc. 2) Why doesn't PFS market it's products to other shops, like RX7Store, Gotham, RX7Trix, etc? Can't sell what you don't have access to...

I mean DAMN, that's customer service for ya. So they're a great shop. They're just still in the building phase of experience...
