haha, yup his smile was just like that, maybe even BIGGER! lol

But yeah we are loving the car. My cousin plans on taking good care of it. I remember when he finally had the funds available to purchase the car and we started searching for one that so many people told us that the RX7 is a very "unreliable" car and that we would only face problems with it. But that did not stop my cousin from purchasing his dream car.

Thanks again Ray!

Yeah the charges suck, AMEX is the worst, visa is getting pretty high as well.

Hey John, I was trying to contact you with the good news. Ray took real good care of us. We did not only have that coil replaced (which was the problem) but also had some other maintenance done, with all that work and labor, the bill only came out to be $400.

That's easy to say Sean when your business was never without those sales to begin with. Keep in mind that even though you pay the process fee you get the sale. I would imagine that business will do much better with the added income. Even iff he has to shell out a small percentage to the procesing company. Don't get me wrong though. I don't mean to say that there are not headaches that can be associated with credit cards, but I think that the business PFS will gain will far out weigh those issues. I was recently wondering if I should start taking credit cards with my company.

Just left my car in Ray's hands today.

Anybody who has doubts, get rid of of 'em. You want it fixed right, Ray's the man to see.

John, I just passed by Ray today. His labor rate is $85 an hour (since I think you asked for that specifically earlier in the thread). Well worth it IMO.

I agree w/ Dave. If one thing, not only does it help ppl who can't front the cash, but in all honesty, it prob helps ppl spend more than they plan to or can currently afford LOL since they can pay for it over time. And that's where he'll make up a large portion of that small 3% transaction fee he's losing.

I personally have a 0% APR card just for the FD, because expenses w/ the FD don't usually come in the hundreds. They come suddenly, and in the thousands So I'm always covered by being able to pay to get it fixed now, and pay the bill over a month or two etc.

John you don't know the half of it. It's obvious because so many placed don't take AMEX, but get this: I recently made a purchase w/ Chuck (Rotaryextreme), and they took a cut (transaction fee). Then they called me to authorize the purchase (it was a large amount), and I did. Then, THEY cancelled the transaction, refunding my money, and charged CHUCK ANOTHER transaction fee for the refund...and neither him nor myself authorized or requested a refund! Now I'm waiting 6 weeks or so for them to "investigate" the unauthorized reversal, and I'm demanding they refund Chuck the charges...

7thSign, congrats to you and your cousin. I don't know who Ray is, but sounds like he knows his stuff, and is turning the shop around.

I'm really glad to see an awesome shop opening up really close to me. I've been trying to fix my TII for like the last couple months... and soon as I get the peices all back together I'm deffinitly going to take it up there and see what he can do with it.

Myk, not to burst your bubble, but I had a nice chat w/ Ray today, and contrary to what I thought, PFS never really worked on 1st or 2nd gens. The only 2nd gen they worked on was Atilla's 20B FC. So other than that, Ray's not too familiar w/ them. He has no prob checkin 'em out, but w/ no guarantees. He even recommended Bret for 1st and 2nd gens. In short, PFS is working on FDs, 350Zs, IS300s, and I'm guessing Ray knows a thing or two about Supras But feel free to call him up and ask for yourself.

Yeah the three rotor car is Ed Taylor's, one of Farrell's first conversions. Beautiful car, great paint, great wheels and he said something like 400-450 lb. feet of torque starting way down low.

Mine is the Silver with lowly factory twins and a balky tranny that I'm hoping Ray can figure out.

Yea the paint def. is in incredible shape, and the wheels are BLING. I forget the #s too, but Ray told me 400some hp, 400some torque. Insane.

Oh c'mon. I LOVE silver...my fav color. I was looking for a silver FD before I bought my black one. And you got a PFS ported motor. I'm sure that thing pulls hard. Kinda surprised you're still running a PFS purple computer tho... Dave was running one until not too long ago too (a year or year and a half I believe). Sorry to hear about the tranny... (swap it w/ another one. He had like 7 sitting inside haha)

The new tranny is holding up but I keeping the other on reserve when mine breaks.

Ed is a nice fella. Lives in baltimore MD. Does alot of local races. Has a tow hitch set up on it for his wheels . Lots of torque and boost comes on FAST. It was on www.pfs.cc as the 3 rotor video.

FDNewbie, nothin' wrong with the PFS purple if you run sequential twins & a cat to contain boost spikes.

Unfortunately the tranny was brand new about a year ago. Not sure what's wrong but it's become a bitch to get into gear under load. Probably cause I let that damn MiataGotBoost guy get too near the clutch.

Word? I don't know too much about it...other than the occassional reference to it as the "purple motor eater" But I take it that had a lot to do w/ ppl running midpipes and spiking eh?

You know new trannys come w/ a 1 year/12K mile warranty, right?

There's your problem...
