I would have to agree. I do not know the situation, nor is it any of our business, but if Ray is footing the bills etc. I would think about re-naming the FD part of the business maybe. But if Peter is the silent partner putting the money up, then you really don't have a choice. But you can't hold one person accountable for someone elses actions. Best of luck to Ray, I am sure you will build a strong name. I hope that you and D keep kicking those supras asses.

He posted because he obviously can't let **** go. He has proven that time and time again. Honestly how many years has it been since 1/2 that **** went down? Is there any need to just constantly flame PFS at every waking opportunity when completely unprovoked?

Just like old times, eh!

First I will address PF Supercars (MD), Inc.
After I sold my facility in Manassas last year I decided that I had about enough of fixing broken cars and had other new and exciting business opportunities ahead of me. I did not need the income from the performance products business and quit frankly had burned out after more than a decade of RX7’s.

However, I had working for me one of the most talented tuner and mechanics on RX7’s by the name of Ray Wilson. Ray had given me several years of loyal service and was an asset to the local RX7 community.

Ray and I decided to keep it going at a new facility in Frederick, Maryland, closer to Ray’s residence. We have set up a nice new shop with a Dynojet and full fabrication capabilities. This made sense to me because I wanted to reward Ray for his loyal service in the past and also take care of the many GREAT customers PFS has done business with over it’s long history (We have many customers from over 10 years ago still looking for support).

Ray’s talent will speak for itself and I am sure that Ray will have “7THSIGN”‘s RX7 fixed in no time. Just this week I decided that I did not really have the time or interest in this business any longer and have reached an agreement with Ray to buy me out and take over the whole business. I will continue to offer my assistance to Ray when required and I am confident that he will earn his own place in RX7 history.

DUFF!
John Duff is a sick man. He is obsessed with an incident that should be long behind him. His talk is always big and his threats and propaganda hollow. He continues to invoke peoples name without their consent and publish inaccurate and misleading information in an attempt to seek revenge on me for bringing the felony criminal charges against him long ago for stealing from his employer.

He would be much better served by getting on with his life and paying the many months arrears of restitution that he currently owes me via the Prince William County Court, so I don’t have to file a motion to have him serve his 5 year suspended jail sentence that still hangs over his head.

Regards to all the PFS supporters from the past and a big WINK to all the haters.

Sincerely,

Peter Farrell

I for one am honestly fed up of your posts, just leave it alone. You've made your point over and over and over and over. Now your're going to dedicate a website to show how unhappy customers are? If there were that unhappy they would do it themselves! Why are you the spokesperson?

In some of your last posts you mentioned customers that did not want to be involved with all the drama. I used to think you were here to help the rotary community but your sole purpose on this forum is just negative posts, nothing useful or encouraging.

I have never done business with either of you so I am definitely neutal here but geez, just let things be already. Let customers make their own decisions. You could have just sent the guy a private message if you really cared about the original poster in this thread but you obviously have other motives.

Everyone deserves a 2nd chance, and as you can see from this post, customers are willing to give them a 2nd chance so just let things be, wish them luck and move on.

Let me get something straight. I live about 10 minutes from Rotary Performance and maybe 20 from Performance Buyers Club. So there should be no question in my mind about who I can take my FD to in the event of needed repairs? I am indifferent to PFS as I have never met the guy or his staff, but why risk it when I live so close to two other reputable shops? Right?

Mike, putting all the nice guy BS aside, I live in NoVa too, and when I have a problem w/ my FD, the first place I turn to is PBC. That's simply because in the past, PFS was always booked at least a week in advance etc., and PBC is a LOT more customer oriented (read nice customer service). W/ PFS, it was hit or miss...sometimes Peter was great and very helpful, other times I felt he was exactly how he described himself: burned out.

Having said that, I can't in good conscious say that PBC has been able to fix every FD they've had in their shop. It wasn't my FD, but I know a few ppl on the forum and in person who had the same prob, or it took a very long time for PBC to diagnose the problem (weeks). But you know what keeps me going there? They have no problem admitting it, they do their best, and they charge you for what they've done right. I don't think anyone here that had their car at PBC had it there for 3 weeks, had 1001 parts replaced, a big long bill, AND still had their original problem. In fact, PBC told me that they had a case where they couldn't figure out the problem w/ an FD, and told the customer he's welcome to take it to Mazda or another shop, and if they were able to fix it, PBC would pay for it. I mean DAMN, that's customer service for ya. So they're a great shop. They're just still in the building phase of experience...

No offense to anyone, and again this is just my opinion, but I simply don't think Bret Pedro's Rotary Performance is the best when it comes to 3rd gens either. No offenes to anyone. I've had a few ppl experience the same prob w/ his shop as w/ PBC: they couldn't get something fixed. But anytime I have a prob w/ my FB, I go to him.

Which brings me to the new PFS...Ray, although I can't say I know him well personally, he's always been great, no attitude, helpful, answered my ?s, etc etc. And when all is said and done, when no one can fix a problem, I am fully confident he can. The guys at PFS have been in the game for so freakin long, that they've seen it all, time and time again. And that's really what you're paying for - and it's well worth it IMO. You can't blame other shops for having trouble, because the FD isn't exactly a Honda. It's a very complex car, and thus if you haven't seen the problem before, it's gonna give you a headache. So in short, when all else fails, know that PFS can def. make it right. Or, you can just start w/ them from the begining. I'm a bit concerned about how far it is from me now, and I'm curious how heavily booked they'll be (as compared to the past), but otherwise, they're def. a top notch shop to go to.

On a sidenote Mike, I see you just joined the forum...where in NoVa are ya?

Well got some more news for you guys. Ray contacted my cousin again. Everything that has to do with secondary turbo switch over is working 100% correct. Now here is what Ray found.

Ray hooked up 2 gauges to the car. One boost and one for pressure. He found out that the switch over to secondary turbo is happening at 4500rpms like it should but right after the change over the boost starts to drop to 0psi. He checked the ignition components after the test run. He informed me and my cousin that a bad ignition could cause boost failure and explained everything so we could understand. After checking the ignition system he found out that one of the coils are bad on the car. He is ordering the part and will get it Monday. He informed my cousin and I that this might not fix the problem but it also could.

Not only did he find that problem out but also found some hoses that were placed in the wrong spot that PBC did not notice. PBC also did not check the ignition system so this might help fix the problem, but we don’t want to get our hopes up just yet.

Ray is working very hard on our car. He will give us an update on Monday and I will let you guys know how it goes from there. Thanks again.

Well your in good hands with your car. I have known Ray for years, we use to work together at a Buick dealership a long time ago before he was really into the tuning stuff. He is a excellent technician all around, and can figure things out very well. I am glad to see him gain control of his own business without any partners and be able to accomplish what needs to be done, and grow into a great RX7/IS300/350Z/RX8 shop. Now that he is in charge making ALL the decisions, and not having someone else contributing, it would be worth it to take your car there and see for yourself that he can fix your car right. Why judge someone if you never even had an experience with them? Good luck Ray and best wishes.

Talking The Day Has Come

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE CAR IS FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY COUSIN JUST CALLED ME (12:00PM 3/6/05) and informed me that Ray had just called him and told him to come on over and pick up his RX7! My cousin couldn’t believe the great news so he then asked Ray “are you sure man??? You fixed it!!!! Did you hook up a boost gauge to make sure?” Ray then replied in sarcasm, “I don’t need a boost gauge to know your car is running right and fixed, this car is a beast”

Ladies and gentlemen my cousin and I are so exited, we are leaving right away to go and pick it up! I will let you know how everything goes!!!!

This is going to be the longest 1 1/2 hour drive I ever make!

Ryan

p.s. Ray how did you feel when I smoked your Z with my boosted 8?

We just got back.

First and for most I want to thank Ray Wilson for doing everything and MORE to get my cousins car running correct. He worked very hard on the car and even fixed some other problems that he saw. I can’t say enough good things about Ray. He is just everything an honest hard working person should be. We had the chance to check out his 350Z which he is developing a turbo kit for. He said it should be good for 900-1000hp! The shop is coming along great. He is doing everything him self. My cousin also picked up an extra rim for his car. There are so many parts there. I wanted to take some photos of the shop to share with you but my friend had my camera.

Ray also took the time to clean the car for us! It looked amazing when we first got there. He took my cousin for a ride in it and when they got back I could see my cousin smiling with happiness. It was a nice site considering he has had the car for 7 months with no boost.

Ray then explained to us and showed us what was causing no boost on secondary. It was the coil that Ray thought it would be. He fixed the problem that so many others couldn’t. He also explained to us some other maintains we should look to be doing soon on the car.

He was awesome, so down to earth. We chatted about his old Supra and RX7 and the 9sec passes he used to make and how that power felt.

We will defiantly be back, Ray Wilson is everything this RX7 community needs. He is going to be the only person that touches my cousins RX7. Thank you Ray for all your hard work and expertise and for solving this problem so many others couldn’t.

I recommend Ray Wilson and the new Peter Ferrell shop to everyone!

Might not be working there but we have my RX-8 as a project car. I have known Ray for a long time now and trust him for ALL my needs that I can not address. We will be fab'n new parts for the RX-8 market and he will use his Z for the same thing. Lots of new and exciting things to come out of that shop in the future.

The big question everyone is wanting to know.

How do you like your RX-7 now?

With all this good news about Ray and the new shop, maybe I should take my car in (boost issue). I had taken my car (radiator) in about 2 years ago when PFS was at the Manassas location and Ray and Ryan did an excellent job on my car.

Just wondering though do they take credit cards yet or do you still have to pay cash up front?

I agree with that. I mentioned this to Ray last I saw him. The no credit card policy was one of Peters. I think we all see the obvious benefit to PFS accepting credit card payments. Sounds like business will be really good Ray. good luck.

not for the merchant.

depending on what ever plan you go with
2-4% off GROSS sale adds up QUICKLY...

I hear it has gone as high as 8%.

and then 30 days later you find out you have a charge back because
Jackass's disputing charges, just because they can...
