Anyone know if PFS is still backed up??
Since the summer is waning, and autumn is finally here.
I suspect the hotrod/import scene dies down a little..
So i wonder if Ray @ PFS is backed up like he has been.
Finally time to buy and install a sprung 6puck and retune
with resonator and ethanol gas.
any info will be appreciated..
thanks

When i was there in Aug. they were scheduling for Oct, which is only a few days away. I know somebody's car was only up there for a month and just got there's back, don't know if they had appt. or not.
They do tend to get really busy though.

Short answer: yes.
Long answer: When I went there at the end of July, Ray said the earliest he could start on my car was September 11. I dropped off the car at that time, and he hadn't start it as of Thursday, Sept. 28.
He's working on the car from hell: everything was customized, though not necessarily well, before it was brought to him. The owner is currently in Iraq and due back soon. Ray is desperately trying to get the car done.

are there any alternatives around the baltimore area? i'm wanting to get some work done this winter, the main thing being a proper dyno tune.
doesn't even have to be in the immediate baltimore region, i'm willing to travel a bit for a good reputation and service

RP does work, not sure about tuning, 703-257-5108, not sure what you're looking for but guess you could try calling them, they're a bit more south in Prince William county, can't recall the name of the city at the moment, starts with an M

Bret doesn't have his own dyno, but he has an arrangement with a nearby shop that gives him access to their dyno.
Dave Barninger at KDRotary has his own dyno.

Call PFS and get on his schedule.
Why even try shops that have no experience tunning a rotary. If they dont have a dyno they dont tune , easy as that. Unless you want your car to be someones experiment

I didn't know Bret tuned.
When I needed it, he pointed me Dee's way, and I think Demetrios did a fine job with a safe on-road tune (and he was cool enough to retap my 02 bung when we removed the crossthreaded factory sensor). I did, however, have Ray put it on the dyno last spring and he found me some power.

Give Bret a call and ask him first... that was about 3-4 years ago. You can try Dee as well, he's just tough to schedule because he's very busy. All three are good guys.

I am very happy with the street tune that Demetrious did for my car. Search Reactive Racing for contact info.
The PFC I received from SR motorsports had negative splits all over the place. Dee basically saved me, bigtime.

So, does Dee tune at JPR, or does he offer services out of a MD shop?

JPR Imports is in south jersey. Jim, (the owner of JPR), ports dee's 7second race motors. Demetrios tunes out of JPR approximately every 2 to 3 weeks. Dee is a great tuner, i would recommend anyone and everyone who needs there car tuned to contact JPR to set up an appointment to get tuned by dee. JPR built my 20b car and Dee tuned it on the street. Not only is it INSANE!!!, but the driveability is next to excellent. The exact address and phone number of JPR is... 110 Harmon Dr
Unit 203, Blackwood NJ 08012. Phone number 856-227-1808
Please do not hesitate to contact Jim for any questions or concerns about tuning or repair.

I know two people in belair that will definitely need tuning in the spring. I don't really want to wait that long, but we may have to.
