Every "Missing title" Car for sale post that I've seen on this forum has ended up being a drama laden run around where whoever gets stuck with the car ends up having to have a title "Made" for the car.


If you don't have the title to your own car DON'T POST IT FOR SALE CAUSE YOU DON'T OWN IT.

 

For $200.00 I can get a title,as long as i can see the car . Too bad you are so far away Im sure someone who does title researches can help you out .

Wow I really dont see where the stolen concept comes from. For example you bought a project car that had a clean title and you didnt register it because you were working on it or something. Eventually you sell the car and give the buyer the same title you were given. How would you the seller ever have known there was another title for that car?

Make myself look stupid? At least I have a grasp of written communication. My point is simple, it sounds like (Kinda hard to read what you type since you can't seem to use any punctuation or spelling) a friend of yours is trying to sell a car with a title that someone else has, and can't find. I'm trying to save someone else the time and frustration of buying a car without a title regardless of the excuses the seller might have for not having it.

Seriously, wait to post a car for sale until you have the title work finished, or sell it as a parts car, with a price reflecting that.

The only bullshit here is that your expecting someone to buy the car at 2200 without a title in their hand, you'd be looking for a real ****** moron to hand over cash without a title.

That's a naive attitude you've got there. All that seller has to do is make a claim for a stolen car and they can legally take it away from you regardless of any "Sale" you claim to have made.

I dont know if this is related, but it could HELP. I bought a 89 gtu and never registered it. I was gonna make it a project car but then my boy tommy (BKLYNRX7) got into an accident and needed a shell. So i sold him my 89 GTU, but the title was the original, so i was on the back of the title as the new owner, but Legally i never ordered a NEW TITLE.

Now fast foward to a few weeks ago, tommy got the car registered and insured under his name but the NEW TITLE will come in my name. At this point i just sign over the title to TOMMY and the car is legally his. THen when he requests a new title it will come with his name and it will all be legit.

Dunno if that helps but sounds a little similar to what happened to me and tommy

yo jason i remember that story but the thing is the guy before me went and got another title issued and still held on to the old one (dont know how) so i ended up getting that old one and no one seems to know where the new one is and their not even trying to help...all the owner before me has to do is go to dmv and go get another title issued and this whoile situation would be DONE WITH...but like i said he's not tryign to help at all thats why i'm here getting mad at people jumping down my throat and riding my back...no one seems to understand wtf is actually happening but yo thanks for your story and maybe these guys would wake up...

Well, if the person who has the real title doesnt wanna cooperate, theres only one thing you can do. Park the car inside a garage, strip the car down to the bare metal, push it to the closest street corner & let the city take care of it. If the OP already payed for the car just sell everything from the motor to the carpet & seats. You should atleast make back $3k. That should cover all your losses.

I think NYC crushes any stolen car found over 15 years old. Either that or someone is gonna get a nice letter from the city to come pick up thier car from the impound.

All of us are just gonna have to take a loss knowing that theres gonna be one less T2 on the streets....

Killaseven doesn't have the title for the car, we can deal with the "dude". Dude is the real owner of the car (at least this is what the title reflects at this point). He has a newer title, chances are, without his signature on the back as the seller.

Guess what, "dude" owns the car, if someone bought it, "dude" can call the cops show them the title, and guess what, if you bought the car, You just paid 2200 for a stolen car.

Also note, it's not being parted, but sold as whole car.

yo this is getting out of hand. Killa7 i know you for a minute, if you bought the car for yourself why didnt you wait till you had the title in your hand before you put it up for sale on RX7club. Ya know ppl are going to look at whats going on and assume things. So to ensure no "flamming" first get it resolved with Dehau....

Im not taking sides here, i just posted what me and tommy did to see if this can help you (Killa7) and Dehau solve this issue.

Dehau if you got the title from the guy then your name should be in the back when you purchased it from him with a BILL OF SALES.

Then with that you take it to The DMV with Arvins paper work to ensure and register the car. Everything will be registered and insured with arvin and the NEW Title will come in Devanes name, then once you receive the new title devain. You have arvin sign the back of it and now the car is OFFICIALLY and legally arvins.

This is what me and tommy did , but me and tommy have a good relationship. I dont know how long you and arvin know one another.

I know arvin for a good amount of time now and hes a cool cat, so i hope everything works out between this car.

I know Spotskater wanted to cop this motor from you devane before ARvin bought it. So this cars been causing a lot of problems and it continues to grow.

I say we spank the FC T2 and tell her to stop causing problems, shes not a HONDA!
