how much does tracquest charge per day? never heard of them.
i will hit lime rock and pocono in 2006 definitely. and i want to do watkings glen too (that is on my wish list).
but i race with PDA; i like how they have "time trials" portion so there is more of a competition aspect.

Tracquest (AKA Chin motorsports) isn't cheap. 650 for two day, but you get about 4 hrs of track time a day. It's open sessions!
It's well worth the money IMO

Yep! I sold my car to fritz and picked up a new one. I wanted a non sunroof model so I bought one.
The new car is going through a rebuild.
The car now has a BBK, Coilovers, new dual oil coolers, Apexi RX6 turbo, M2 large IC, and a ton of other goodies! Should be a terror next year at the track if I can get all the parts installed over the winter!
I better see you!

My wife told me I could either buy a new bike or car parts for the 7 this winter.... The bike won.

If I go to WGI, i'll probably do a trackmasters event, because i'm looking for a check-off for their "open track" group... they haven't published a 2006 schedule, but there's generally an event in May. (I usually run their September event in advance of the Vintage racing festival).
Pat, we should definately link up on a couple trips down to VIR though, I only got there once this year.... I'd like to see that track car you're building too!

I went to VIR yesterday, They did the Holiday laps again this year. For $25 cash or food or toys you got a 30 min session led by a pace car. They let us run a t a pretty good clip I reached 125 on the front strech. I also had my 75 year old dad in the car with me.
He was real quiet. I asked "Dad are you scared" I waited for his reply "Hell No see how how fast we can get it to"
Ill never forget this

I can't say how soon my car will be ready to hit the road course, but I will hopefully be able to get it out there this year. I've been to Summit twice with my bike, so I will probably do an event there because I know that track, but I hear VIR is pretty nice. Maybe I can hit both this year.

I am saving this. I may print it out and tape it somewhere you can see it...

I will try to get myself to one or more of these events. I track my 944 Turbo, but have been itching to get the RX7 out on the track too. Is this the best tread to follow what events people are planning?
