Does any one know the engine specs on the mazda furai?
I know 450hp periphial port and E100 that's about it can't find anything else.
What I want to know is injector size standalone ignition compression ratio etc etc. I don't want to boost anymore thinking of going n/a but only if I can get numbers like that.

you might be able to get some info on the engine directly from Racing Beat, who i'm pretty sure handled the engine on the Furai. They probably won't tell much though other then the price tag which in all honesty is probably a helluva lot of $ (think 20k +, the last engine f/s they had on their website was 30k but that was a pp turbo). Even if you managed to get all the specs from them and build it yourself it would still be a fortune just for the engine itself. I'm guessing RB PP housings x 3 (1200/each), 3 rotor assembly balanced and race clearenced, etc....

ive seen a couple of variations, the parts book i have shows 3 injectors, but doesn't say how big they are.
since PP's have really good BSFC @high rpm, they should be in the 1000cc range. unless they ran more fuel pressure than stock

I got a few very bad pics inside the Furai when it appeared at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years back. Wish I'd been able to get clearer more comprehansive pics, but it was rammed around the thing, could hardly get near it let alone get time for any decent pics. Dunno if you can learn anything from them...
Looked to me like there was no earth-shaking quantum leap in technology going on, just refined stuff that's been worked out from years of experience with what works and what doesn't. It was, however, the most beautiful looking and sounding thing on four wheels I've ever been close to!
FWIW Matt from FDUK (matt724 on here) has a 20B peripheral port built by WGT in England, might be worth you asking him for any tips he can offer?

Yip, I said in my reply earlier that WGT Auto Developments Ltd in the UK built a peripheral ported 20B for matt724 that last I remember was comfortably above 400 BHP on a very conservative map.

The Speed Source Rx8's have the pp 3 rotor as well. 450 isn't that hard to understand once you consider guys are making over 300 on N/A on a pp 13b.

This should help.

its easy to make that much on n/a 20b.. RE-A has done it with their 3 rotor fd for jgtc... its just not cheap is all.. but if you dont mind .. then by all means go for it.. it honestly doesnt take that much to make it all work..
