I do like the kit though, reminds me of 79-80 rx7 IMSA style, before the door caps and boxed flares. The later kits were meant to be attached to tube framed cars.

My rims are 16x11's with a 5.5" backspace. My goodyears are 23.5x10.5, would be close to a 275x35x16. The fronts are a little tight, I have RB adjustable arms and camber plates on top which allow me to center the tire exactly where it needs to be to minimize rubbing. Occasionally under extreme turn and bump, it will rub slightly on the inner fender and top frame rail with a fresh set of slicks. The rears actually have room to be moved in slightly, I could probably fit a 11-11.5" slick in the rear, but the outside diameter starts to become a factor.

I've considered running Time Attack with a set of 15x11 rims with a Hoosier R6 275x35x15 DOT legal tire.

Sounds like some big rubber you have there. Any information on your drivetrain? What gearbox and axle are you running? Im thinking that if i go for big wheels and tyres like yours i'll have to make up some large fender flares rather than a complete wide body kit.

I have a close ratio 5 speed, stock housing but with different gear set installed. If I remember correctly, it is the same gear set that the "flying miata" guys use for racing. Some of there race cars put out close to 300HP.

I had a carbon fiber driveshaft made for the car and I'm running a 4.875 ring and pinion with a modified friction type LSD. I also have a spare 5.125 ring and pinion gear set. The rear axle's and rear axle bearings are stock. I've been replacing the rear axle bearing's twice a year.

I have a big brake kit for the front which uses larger spindles and bearings, I shouldn't have to replace the front bearing's nearly as ofter as the rear.

Here are some recent pics with rain tires on the car. Allmost ready for nationals. Still need to get my rear deck lid lip spoiler on the car, then I can put the back glass on. (actually made of plexiglass)
