13B carburated build questions
So I'm picking up a stock 13B that was converted to carb using a racing beat intake and weber 600 carburetor. I want to rebuilt the engine and do a bridgeport on it. And I wanted to know what other mods I can do to the engine while its taken apart for rebuilt. I would like to get over 200WHP out of the engine and be able to keep it streetable because I will be using the car daily

I get 21-24mpg with mine. I know there's more fuel economy in the ignition timing (it WANTS a three dimensional curve, it HAS a one-dimensional one) and I think the exhaust is still too restrictive, but for now I'm pretty happy.
I did just average only 18mpg on a banzai run to Columbus and back for the Audi club meet, but it's maybe 20 degrees out so the engine is only running at 155f coolant temp, and I've got King Kong sized snow tires on it (205/60-15 front, 235/45-17 rear) and the rolling resistance with them is crazy.
On the plus side, now I have a good 5cyl head to port for my turbo Quantum project, and the Mastercraft snow tires really don't give a crap about no inch or two of snow on the ground even at 75-80mph...

True story - One time the car was running hot on the highway and no heat. 5 miles later I pull into a rest area. Coolant is full, upper hose is hot, fan cycling. Huh. Get back on the road, we have heat and coolant temps are fine. Observation changed the outcome....

Well, it's weird. If there's a drivability problem, it won't act up if you're observing it.

That's not my syncro.
THIS is my syncro:
I have just another JT 10-valve head, but it's supposed to have a better casting for porting than the turbo engines had. Supposedly it's easy to go fishing in a water jacket if you try to port at the valve guide boss on an MC head, and the valve guide boss is something like 2/3rd the width of the port so it's where major gains are to be had.
No oversized valves for this one, but I did spring for the absurdly expensive super-awesome exhaust valves that will tolerate any EGT I can throw at them without losing their heads like the stock sodium-filled ones.
