Grr stupid Forum I tried posting and it deleted... hmmm
Well I said I tore my engine apart today and It's looking good... well better than expected.
It looks like I will have to replace at least the front bearing and corner seals. and possibly the Front Stationary gear and seal springs. Plus Gaskets of course.
So far I haven't found and damage to the rotors or the rotor housings and I'm looking hopeful!
Once I rebuild it I have two options... put it in my 79 LE and drive it around like before.... OR Sell the LE roller with out an engine and pull the 12A outta the GSL and put the 13B in there and drive that ugly thing... but I can make it look better.
Either way if everything comes together fast I'll get my car tuned up and I'm down for some Rotary Mayhem!

I'm thinking of setting up one more RX7 / Supra meet in a few weeks. Who all is running that would try to make it? The Spring meet had only about 13 cars which was very disappointing.

Hey all,
I just moved to Fort Collins from Eureka, CA. I'm hoping to have my TII on the road any time now. I was an avid AutoX'er back in CA, but I'm not seeing anything in FoCo. Am I gonna have to go to Denver for racing, or is there something more local that I've overlooked? I also look forward to meeting the local rotorheads...

Hey Welcome.... there a few FCs that I know in FoCo. We meet up everynow and then.
As for racing there is Bandimer Quarter Mile Drag Strip down in Morrison (Denver) As for Auto X there do that in Denver too... used to do it in Loveland but not so much. The Colorado Allied Drift Club sometimes holds drift events in Greeley. But no tracks in the area... I think a small road coarse needs to open up in northern Colorado.
Once I get my FB finished up a few of us up here are gonna be meeting up in FoCo or Loveland. The more the merrier...

Obie2kenobe: Thanks for the welcome. I might take a pass or 2 at Bandimere just for the data, but drag racing really isn't my thing. I've thought about drift a time or 2, (Some of my AutoX buddies might think I'm a bit of a drifter lol) but I have a hard enough time buying tires for AutoX. I can't imagine going through a set every outing!
Johnny Boost: Thanks also for the welcome. I've seen a few FBs in the area, and I saw a white FC in Loveland when I was at Sonic. I heard that there was at least one FD owner in town as well. It's kind of weird: In Eureka, a town of ~30,000, I saw FCs all over the place. In FoCo, a town of over 100,000, I don't see many at all. Where's the rotary love?
When I looked online, I saw some old posts about local AutoX. Sorry to hear that it died. Was there not enough interest? Too much trouble getting sites? I agree that we need a small road course. Maybe even just a local AutoX club, if enough interest can be raised and a location secured.
I'm in the middle of putting my intake/rat's nest together at the moment. I keep finding more parts that have vanished somewhere between my garage in CA, my storage unit and here. (If you ever get the chance to build a TII across 5 states, DON'T! It completely sucks...) I keep thinking that I'm almost done, but at this point it will be done when it's done.
Once it's done, I'm totally into meets/cruises/mountain road runs/etc. In the meantime, I'll be happy to show up to meets if folks don't mind me bringing the scooter (Katana) instead.

There are three FCs in Loveland that I can think of. My buddy has a White S4 there's another white S4 but it has a black bra... never met that owner and there is a gray S4 rolling around as well.
In FoCo there Laural has two 1 Red GXL that she drives daily and a TurboII There is also a great kid named Will with a Blue Vert. There's also a Red vert rolling around.
There's a few FDs around there is a kid named Tom who's on his 2nd FD with a V8 Swap. There's also a white LS1 powered FD in Greeley. I know there's atleast two rotary powered FDs in FoCo... one grey with a slightly beat up body and a red one that's heavily modded.
Check out the CO Registry and you'll see who's where.
I'm down with a scooter Why'd you come to FoCo? School?

I checked the registry and I am encouraged! I guess I just haven't been around enough to see all the rotary goodness. I _did_ see two Shelby Cobra replicas and a Ferrari Testarossa in the last two days, as well as a bunch of Porsches. I am really liking this town!
I actually moved out here to move out here. My wife and I came out to visit her folks back in January and we decided on the spot that we had to move. She just got a job and I'm looking. Once I find work, we'll shop for a house and settle in.
BTW, congrats on the motor! I love the 1st gens...

You're a smart man! Moving to Fort Collins is a good choice. We've got loads of great roads to drive on with in mins of leaving town.
Also Fort Collins is a great town for renters. You can find great deals on places.
