Seriously, how are there so many of us in Colorado and I only know a few guys outside of C Springs? We need to have a good size get together this Summer. We in C Springs have been talking about trying to start something like SevenStock, DGRR, etc and have a huge driving event here in CO since we have so many great roads. What do you guys think?

Nah, you're all the way across town. That's too far. LOL

Is your car back on the road yet?

Still waiting for my rear brake pads. I might change my order to ebc yellow pads just so I can get things going again. Just need an alignment and I should be good to go.

Looks like they are sending my a set of yellows for free and then sending me blues (to hold me over). I might just wait for the blues so I ensure they bed right to the brand new rotors. Just sell the yellows. Hopefully they come in over the next couple of weeks.

The FPR was the problem. The side vacuum port nipple was threaded too far in and preventing the spring from functioning properly. I backed that out and added some gasket sealent to ensure no vacuum leak and have done some testing and now its holding pressure after pressure is removed but holds for a couple of minutes. I need to do some test driving to ensure everything is good before claiming victory.

Spotted: Initial D FC Replica S5 TII(?) right-hand drive on Arapahoe near I-25. Picture is attached.

Anyone know who it is? My buddy saw it and sent me the picture. I used to be a big initial D fan myself; I've definitely never seen it before at any meets (though it's been years since I've been to a meet)...

I don't know the owner, but I know that there is a couple that owns a takumi 86 and they run a small import company. The 86 is the promo car and the FC you see is one of their clients. You should check out the NationWide meets, both cars are regulars at them, especially when the weather gets nicer.

So.... Im from western Nebraska. Bought a FD tried everything I could find online, and I'm tempted to just get rid of it to fund my ae86. Idles awesome, but runs high 10s to 11 flat AFRs. I'm out of ideas. I have a thread under the 3rd gen specific tech section.... If I dont come up with anything in the next couple of weeks it'll probably go up for sale
... Or there will be 1 less FD on this planet. Either way lol!

^So it's running rich? Is that the only problem? Do you have an aftermarket ECU or the stock one?

How much would you sell it for? lol

It has an M2 performance chipped ecu, and I haven't found another ecu to see if that's my problem. Here's the thread on it so far. Don't feel like typing everything out again. I don't know if I'll sell it yet or not.

Thfastr pump kicks in and out sometimes kinda fast, but Ive read it will make the engine run rich then I've read it has no direct effect on the engine. Then a lot of threads I find people responding with "do a search there all sorts of information on this" and those threads usually go no where. So I search and search and search and find mixed answers all over the place. I wish rx7 crowd was like the ae86 guys i know lol.

Did anything weird happen or were you doing any work on it right before this happened? Kinda hard to troubleshoot from a distance, that's all.

When I bought it the car would start but wouldn't stay running on its own. Its making progress slowly but surely as it stays running now just 14-15 for vacuum and high 10s to mid 11s on the afrs. Im really starting to think one of the turbos is failing due to some oil in the intake pipe behind the air filter as well as shaft play up and down and in and out. All the sensors are good as I tested those, and the rats nest has been converted to the simplified sequential and those 4 solenoid valves are brand new. I found a stock ecu, engine wiring harness and 2 "good" condition turbos that i might buy.

A little oil in the intake piping is normal. I used to freak out when I saw it too though lol. But it depends on how much oil you're seeing, and the shaft play is a concern too depending on how much there is.

There's quite a bit. The inside of the pipe is completely covered. Also had a friend stand out back the other night when I test drove it to see if it smoked like a banshee (it was night time and he had a flashlight) when I revved it up and he said it looked like hot burs from a fire coming out the exhaust. When i drove it, it Hit 10 psi then when the second turbo kicked in it dropped to 5 psi and didn't go above 6-6.5 psi. so between all that i wanna say that turbo is on its last leg. Verrrry similiar to the turbo on the sr20 i had when it blew.
