Emissions Testing in CO
#26
Well, I found this & it sounds like emissions testing won't be required for Weld county anymore after Dec. 2006.

In Larimer you can go to any gas station that does emissions. I know in Loveland there is a little car wash and emission place on 287. They are very polite and if it doesn't pass they will give you all kinds of advice. They helped me get a car to pass and it took 4 tries, they did it without the normal retest fee.
As far as keeping out of state plates, Colorado law requires that you register within 30 days of moving into the state. That means changing license and registration. You can get around it but it is a hassle.

How would you be able to do this if you are in the Springs and he is in Ft. Collins? They are different counties.

Most of us got a PO box in Park County which has no emmision laws. If you look up Denver smog laws...it does state if you drive in Denver...you have to get tested in Denver. The chances of them enforcing this is very unlikely as long as your registered somewhere. I heard a rumor that Ft. Collins was going to drop emission testing all together. You might want to look it up on the internet.

wow, so how do u go about getting a p.o box or whatever, or registering somewhere else if you dont live there?
that seems like no big deal, i mean i dont even drive the thing much at all...and with all of the projects im getting going on it future emissions is looking kinda...well not good. plus like i said i cant stand those bastards even touching my cars. that itself is good enough for me.
