Haha, oh I didn't know you were married, hahaha. I just assumed you were single since you had an FD, HAHAHAHA. Yeah I'm thinking about just getting a piece of land and putting up a big barn or something so I have room for all the cars and having a loft or something to live in.

I feel ya on being distracted, we just got paid and I'm searching websites for the next item to buy from my list, haha.

Haha, well I'm waiting for FDNewbie to get some time to quote some prices for me, and probably end up getting the stuff from him. I'd easily have my whole paycheck spent if he was ready. But it's good cause I'm also waiting for my mortgage payment to come out, I don't want to mess that up. Not to mention since the beginning of the deployment and better money, I've been carefully planning what I'm getting and when...getting the most important stuff first and all that.

The Broadmoor? if you got at least over $800,000.00 for a house go for it!
When you get here you get a good feel.

The bad news is housing here in Co Springs is very expensive, a house that sold 10 years ago for $80-$90,000. goes for $180,00 plus!!! so plan for mortgage payment over $1,200.00

Nice neighborhood? sorry no projects cars, campers or boats on your lot, the only time you can have the garage door open is to pull the car out!

About the tuning, get with MichaelB145 he was working on getting Brian from BDC to come up in the springs time.

Good luck with your search, be safe and thanks for serving our country!
I don't meen anything against Fountain, Sorry.
I was just saying what I have heard.

Hello RX-7 Chris,

I was just kidding, no offence taking,

Back in the 90's Fountain was pretty bad with gangs. The police told me they knew where they all lived and they don't like to do crimes in their own community plus they were keeping close tabs on them.
I fell in love with my first house and was affordable with my E-6 pay back then. The next door neighbor was a police so the car stayed parked in the drive way, so I felt safe. Anyway all its good now, safe and clean and there are houses that goes for $300,000.00 plus in less than 1/4 from my house.

By 2010 Fort Carson is going to grow from 6,000 soldiers and dependants to 30,000 and the north side of town is getting too congested so the south (Fountain) is the way to go.
I be more than glad to help you guys with any questions when you get here, please PM me if need any help.

Andres

Hello

Fountain is at the Southern part of Colorado Springs, as a matter of fact used to be a well determined space to separate Fountain and Colorado Springs now is almost together.

Fountain is about 5 miles south of Ft. Carson, going out the back gate.
The best way is to go out of Gate 20 take the Highway I-25 and take exit 128 and you are in the City of Fountain.

But like I said, when you get here is when you get a better feeling for where you want to buy a house. There are other areas that are as affordable all over the place!

You be safe !!

by the way I was at a homemade FOB about 10K outside Balad,(camp anaconda) 2003-2004.

Anacona isn't exactly homemade anymore lol. Its actually one of the largest FOB's in Iraq right now. I've been grounded there a couple nights when the weather was bad.

But I think your right, its gonna be hard for me to make any decisions until I get there, but atleast this way I can get a good feal for places I should look at. I apreciate all the help! I can't wait to get up there

Hello

It was kind of mess up because we were eating MRE's for weeks and a few miles away people were eating lobster!

I met a few guys that were stationed at Anaconda that gained bucku weight,

I lost about 25 Lbs when I was deployed, I gained back up!!

Keep that finger on the trigger!!

It is amazing how the prices of housing are going around here.

We were lucky finding our first house. I remember one of my coworkers said to look ing the NW area, said there were houses for under 140k, I could not find any for under 275k. I didn't end up there.

Hey rotary heads. I was wondering if anyone was planning on organising like a cruise for rotary junkies this year in the springs and if so, would love to be a part of that. I currently know three other people that would be down to go with me as well, once I get my car finised that is. Should be ready here in the next month or so. Looking foward to it.

That's what I usually call it too, but I figured you might not know what I was talking about, haha. So that's what I'll refer to it as from now on, haha. See you in a couple weeks man, take care and be safe.
