I feel that as far as tuning is concerned street is better any way. You feel more there and Steve did a FREAKING OUTSTANDING JOB on my car. Anyone that rode in my car after steve tuned it knows that street tunig is an outstanding option!! I didnt need a printout of what my car can do because i feel it and see it when i line up. Plus you drive your car on the street not a dyno where you can feel all the small sputters and kinks.

Steves expertise and knowledge combined are what makes street tuning an incredible option!!!!!

But this is just me.....
lol
I was just pointing out that i suggest dyno tuning over street for safety/legality issues. Obviously street tuning is better because of the realistic conditions, but IMO its not worth a 120mph ticket or heaven forbid car accident.

as far as Steve's expertise and knowledge when it comes to tuning... thats the reason why its okay to do dyno tuning, he knows the difference in real street conditions and being on the rollers and im sure he takes them into account when tuning on the dyno.

If Steve is willing to come out for the extra 100 ontop of everyones tuning price Im down.. did he say he was ok with that chucky?
The extra time is interesting.. steve spends all the time he needs to tune the car properly.. as far as last time went he didnt say okay your tune was 400 bucks, so you only get an hour and half.. he tunes the car untill he is happy with it and thats that.. so i dont know what extra time you would like?

Also if he is okay with this, promising steve the extra money if we do not get the 5th person gives us the time to find a 5th person by the tuning date, rather then the deposit date.

so if he is ok with this idea add your name so we know who is ok w/ the extra 100

Steve answered back that the 4 in for the street tune kicking in an extra $100 was an option, but he'd prefer us having a fifth. Count me in for going with whatever is decided.
In response to the 'extra' time, I wanted to pick his brain. I still don't know what the hell I'm doing! He said get 1600cc secondaries - I ordered them today.

Hey guys,
Im going to go talk to Chris at Dyno Edge today or tomorrow. I figure for the three of us we're going to need a full day. Im thinking Philip and I will take half a day, and Ryan you alone will probably take half a day. Ill get a price for a full day dyno and I'll also get like an hourly rate so we have options on how we want to do it. Probably cheaper to do a full day as if we do hourly and we take up a full day it will probably cost more. Let me know what you guys think

Having a price for both options sounds good. How many hours are in a "full day"?

Not sure, I'll have to ask him. Last year when I tuned he was just like whatever. Said he could start early, end late, whatever I would like. Now I don't want to make that sound like the way it can be because it may have just been that weekend he wasn't busy and could do that, but might not be able to be that open with us this time. I'll go talk to him tomorrow (didn't go today because i wanted to get some input from you guys) And get all the details, let me know anything else I should bring up while im there.

Alright guys, I talked to Chris today at Dyno Edge and he said $500 for a full day. His regular hourly price is $85 so say we are there from 8-5 or 9-6 thats 9 hours which would cost $765. $500 is a great price! I scheduled the full day of dyno time for the 7th which is a Saturday, is this cool with everyone? Its starting to come together guys!

Haven't heard anything from Ryan lately. Sent my deposit today as well. $500 for a full day of dyno tuning is fantastic. Should give Steve all the time he needs to dial in a perfect tune.

Hell, I don't know. I sent the deposit, so I'll go along with whatever happens. I need the new single dialed in with the Microtech. I am tired of screwing with it. Have replaced everything except the trans. That's next. Just want to drive it!

Hopefully they come through for you. Im sure they will. Get everything else good to go so if those fittings come last minute at least that will be the only thing you will have to finish up!

Chucky, If you have any urge to dyno now would be the time to do it. I figure we will split the $500 a day up by the hour so if some of us take longer the others it is still "fair" so say for a 9 hour day its like 55-56 bucks an hour, if you were to go to him on any other day on your own his regular hourly rate is 85/hr so its a steal.

well if there were any doubt on my part. . .i'm still definitely in on the dyno. after reading what happened to cozmo, i'm shook. not to mention my car is unregistered, uninsured, etc.

safer physically and legally on the dyno.

Hey guys, Does anyone know the owner of the rotary powered truck? I always see him at speed lab, and Im wondering if he would be interested in a tune. But I don't want to go ask him at speed lab because I don't want them to think Im trying to steal their business. So if anyone knows him and can contact him let him know about Steve and see if he needs a tune. We still need to try and find a 5th person guys!
