To all those who are saying that the MoTec M4 costs like $5k and up, where are you getting that data from? I downloaded a .pdf catalog from MoTec USA and they quote an ECU for ~$1500 and a harness for ~$400. This does not seem to be anywhere close the the rumors of $5k and up. And the MoTec is badass, being able to control both fuel AND spark, plus lots of other things like data logging, traction control, etc. Just posing a few questions.

The M800 is $5K and up.
That price sounds a bit low for the M4 and all the options you listed. Did you include the price of the Advanced Tuning and Logging Option to get the datalogging and traction control functions that you seem to like? How about pricing the sensors for the wiring harness? Also, you will need a multiplexer for the traction control, as well as sensors. You may want to give one of the Motec Mazda specialists a call first to make sure that you get the correct setup for your application.

What they don't mention is that it has to be installed by one of their techs, and that is where the rest of the money comes in play. I was quoted $1500.00 to have the harness made. Plus, on top of that, you need one of their ignitors (well, actually GM) and some other stuff I can't remember. After the total was $4500, all else was forgotten.
