STL: Johnny Tran Tuning - June 2010 (Who's interested?)
Johnny Tran and his Famiry (Don't disrepect) will be coming back to St.Louis to tune our RX7's.
Who's seriously interested? I'm thinking June.

I was coming home one day, and just down the road from my house the speed limit goes from 25 up to 55. I got on the gas hard through 2nd and partly into 3rd, then was cruising normally. I had the hood off the car at the time, and suddenly I started getting a mist on the windshield. I had been able to drive my car nicely with no issues, but when I boosted around a lot, the coolant overflow would start to fill up pretty quickly. I assumed my coolant seals were on their way out. I reached around the windshield and touched the wetness, expecting that I had pushed coolant out the overflow bottle. Then I realized it was oil, not coolant. I watched the oil gauge for the remaining half mile to my house, and didn't see pressure dropping yet. I stopped quickly in my driveway and jumped out to look at the engine while it was still running. A geyser of oil was gushing up about 3 inches high from the oil filter pedestal area! I shut the car off immediately, but in the 15 seconds the car idled in the driveway I bet it dumped out over 2 quarts of oil all over the ground.
And that's how I lost my "S4 rear iron virginity", or at least assume that's what happened. The engine had 140XXX with a supposed rebuild at an unknown mileage previously in it's life. It really needed some refreshing before being able to support itself reliably at 19psi/400hp anyway. Since the engine was still running seemingly normal, I'm hoping I can reuse most of my hard parts. I already have an S5 rear iron and new RX-8 e-shaft in the garage. I just don't want to hear I need new housings or rotors or some shyte, which could double the price of that project.
