does anyone know when rapid is having another autox, and when and where, would love to try the ol vert out for fun.

 

Ya i believe joey dose do rotories my friend from up here brang his fd down there to get tuned but it didnt last on the dynoed because it blew up but not because joey the engine just took a ****.

they are going to try something different this year and do a night auto x on the first date and then a morning one on the next unless one gets canceled. Those are the only date they got up so far but im sure they will try and get more. Just make sure if you do go tho make sure your car will be up to standard.

 

where are they doing it at, school of mines, and what time do u need to be there to enter

 

they are usally at central high school. but central is being douche bags this year and not letting us us the parking lot during may and august. But they may do one on may 18 at western dakota but they are not sure yet.

 

is anyone looking for a white turbo fc, heavily modified has a 13b-re heavily street ported motor 60-1 trim turbo, microtech, custom peterbuilt fmic, rfl bov, 9 lb flywheel, 6 puc clutch, upgraded brakes suspensioin and rims and tires to much to list just pm me if u are interested, the car is in spearfish btw.

 

yeah the Rx at Excessive has the tuning wrong with it and yes Joey will tune a FC they have one that is turboed and stuff looks like crap but still runs, i know i will probably be down at the Automania car show on June 18 with my FC i will post pics a little later tonight so ya guys can see.

 

I was hoping to have my FD done for automania but it's not going to be anywhere close to ready. Hopefully next year. I'll have to look for ya downtown that night.

Yeah. It's on June 18th this year. They block off about half of downtown SF for it. You should come over for it. Lots of cars, some trucks. Even Chip Foose was here signing autographs two years ago and had a couple of his mustangs sitting down there. There's live music and food vendors too. Some cars get in there and make you wonder why someone would want to show it off. Last year there was a cavalier with an unpainted bumper, didn't have the rest of the kit on it and had a donut on. I would have been embarrassed to have that thing on the street in that kind of condition, let alone show it off. One of the taillights was busted and fender damaged. I looked at it and just laughed. I know it's a bit of a drive for you, especially since gas seems to keep going up. So I wouldn't doubt it if you didn't want to go.

 

sweet thats sounds cool i should have my car painted and have the body kit and a bigger turbo by then so if i can get it of im down to go if you guys wana make a trip together or something.

 

I'm in SF so I only have to go a mile to get to it. Tuner lives in Mitchell though, maybe you can meet up with him there and caravan with him. Hell, if you want to you guys could probably come around a little early and see mine. Gotta get tires and wheels yet, along with other stuff. Let me know, could probably give you guys a place to crash too if you need it.

from here i plan on cleaning it up, dont think ill get a body kit, might focus on interior mainly cause my buddy runs a CF, FG shop, also more suspension it has JIC Coilovers on it going to take it from there, might do some engine stuff but wanna get used to the LS first, oooh there probably is alot of haters but this is what i was going to do and this just saved me bank, so if you dont like v8 7's good for you cause i love em and no matter what you say i aint going back well unless i buy an FD

That's a good point. You may want to look at getting a beefier one before you rip it up. As far as the LS goes, I can understand why people swap them in, better mileage, better reliability, more power without many mods. I say, whatever floats your boat. Just as long as you don't turn the car into a horrendous looking pile is all I care about.

 

there is not going to be bodykit just rims and maybe if i can get my shop to make a CF windsplitter for the T2 front bumper maybe some CF sides to accent it and maybe a diffuser but that might be to aggressive for it, i refuse to put FG kit on the car or any car period so for bodywork i will get the molding shaved to clean it up alot. I might stay with flat black and get it cleared so it stays clean and give kind of a sleeper look, it has JIC coilovers on it so thats done might finish it all with all of JIC components. It has the T2 Rearend installed and him talking to the guys at HINSON and my research as well the T2 is fine unless i plan on running 10 sec quarters which i dont really plan on doing that for a lil while and if i do they tell ya to go to KAAZ for the upgrade. Besides the T2 rearend it has T2 brakes on it all around, also from my celica i had a TWM weighted shiftknob that i replaced with the one that robin had on so it shifts alot better, the **** fit perfect to the T56 trans.

 

The TII rear is fine at stock power levels. The only situation that would make me nervous is putting some drag slicks and doing a hard launch. I did many autocrosses on Hoosiers and never heard a peep out of the rear.
