KS RX7 Dyno day at Musclecar Specialties

We're going to try and organize a dyno day for sometime mid-September. Let me know who's interested and what dates will work for you.

Just now saw de thread... Who goes to Sevenstock, anyways? We could do it the 11th or 12th, 25th or 26th. Didja already talk to 'em about what kinda prices we might be looking at? I'm definitely in. Drive up anyways, Alex. It's only what, half a days drive? Hyuk hyuk.

It was somewhere just shy of $40 last time, very good price for three pulls. Any updates? Otherwise I may go ahead and give them a call sometime soon. How about the 26th?

26th sounds good. I called them a week ago to see and they were pretty open about the whole thing. We didn't talk prices at all because we didn't know how many people were going to show. As of now it looks like about 5 people will come out, hopefully more but maybe this is enough to set it up with them. I'll call them in the next day or two and work a bit more out.

if they are giving you problems let me know Rusty(owner) is my brother in law and since I am back from the sandbox I might be able to help you guys out. I am also stationed here in Kansas at Ft Riley for about a year and will be in KC nearly every weekend.... current driver is an 88 vert white with blue turbo hood

Aww, it would be fun to attend again. Unfortunately I don't think my HOA would allow it, unless I can somehow convince him it's work related.

Ya mean it has a hood now? Hooyeah. And Jerry, just tell them it has to do with repair/service/inspection of your vehicle that gets you to work, and that without you may be without the means to have an income.

Alright peepole, I touched base with Muscle Car Specialties and they would be more than happy to have us back, and offer us a price break if we bring 10 or more cars. Their usual price is $50 for three runs, add $10 if you want an air/fuel readout, but they'll give us the same price as last year ($37.66) if we've got ten or more.

Due to the time that's passed, we're now going to shoot for a weekend date in October. Voice your opinions on whether it be the 2nd/3rd, 9th, 16th/17th, or what (There's a KCRSCCA autocross on the 10th). I say we go for Sunday the 3rd, get this shindig moving, but if people need more advance time, we can go for later, as having the full ten or more will help on price. Also, add your name to the list below if you're going to attend so we know for sure how many are attending.

I don't see why they wouldn't be able... It's a new car, did you already do something to it? Give them a ring at 913-390-6868.

I say the 3rd for sure. Lets try to confirm this with everybody as soon as we can.

Don't worry about the coil. Its just extra stuff in the garage right now, whenever you can get it back is cool.

I actually just got a call back from them after I posted the last message. The say the 3rd is perfect and we should try to lock it in as the date. They also said they need year, engine and whatever else you can give them about the Mazda3 so they can be ready for setting it up (which means yes you can run it Raindog). Everybody add your name to the list! We have 4 on the list now, we had 12 at last years event.

I spoke with Rusty before I went to sevenstock and he was going to look at this thread so that he would know what was going on. Rusty is the owner of Musclecar specialties and my brother in law 1.3 I don't know why you didn't get a call back but when i had spoken with him prior to SS he was told me he was unaware of the event, He wasn't opposed to it but was unaware. I won't be there as I have Sprint Cup tickets for that weekend. If you guys want to do these events I will be around for the next 12-14 months while I am stationed at Ft Riley and I have no problem helping on arranging them as I speak with Rusty and my sister every weekend

Well if we can't rope in a few more people for certain, may be better to push it back...
