if you roll up as a group, i'll get you guys together. The closer to 11 the better chance you have of getting a spot. Christian is going to be on the dyno, so he'll be away from you guys up on the top level, but I should be able to get you all together if you're there early enough. See you all there! oh and to answer your question Grip, the top is open, but the next 3 floors down obviously are covered.

Sounds good I'll set you guys up w/ 5 spots txt me if anything changes 224.678.3400 We are good with help for the show. Thanks for the offer though. The village of palatine wants all the cars that will be on the dyno to stay in a designated area so they are not driving through people to get up to the dyno, so Christians car will have to stay up there unfortunately. See you guys tomorrow!

I showed up late, had to pick up an engine first. Showed up to the garage the the engine and hoist in back of the van hahaha.
Some very very very nice 7's there. Only saw a few, but still... damn.
And to the guy who dyno'd the red FD... looks and sounds sick!

Red FD was christian (hes on the forums here.. just forget which name). He put down a lovely 439hp (uncorrected, hot day). While cruising more of my other local forums here was a complaint registered by a spunky lil fella in a type r turbo..
"And highest HP was given out before the last car was dyno'd (dyno'd in the past with over the RX7's power) "
my response was: lrn2sign up in advance

yeah, the guy in the Hype-R wasn't very smart anyways, he waited until everyone was done on the dyno at 5pm, and they were handing out trophy's to try and dyno for the highest horsepower trophy.
his plan: "i was waiting all day to see what the highest #'s were so i could jump in line last, and set the record"
his plan backfired, and he got salty..haha
it was good meeting some of you today, i suck at remembering names, but you know who you are.

Here's the thing about they HP award. I went to the type r's car and the mustangs car before deciding on Christians and asked what they estimated they would put down and if they thought they'd be even remotely close to 439 and they both said no way, so i dont get why the heck he would be bitching about that, but like you guys said...sign up in advance just like it said on the flyers. Guess he just didnt get it . Amazing 7 Christian. Def put down some nice power. I was across the 5th level and knew right away after the 1st pull it was the best one of the day. Thanks goes to all of you that showed. Your support went to a great cause! Hope to see you next year at the next show.
Thanks again,
Justin

I won't let go
Thanks Justin for the great show. You can bet that we'll be there next year in much stronger numbers.
I didn't even know the dyno was any kinda competition 'til I got there. I just wanted to know what I was putting down.

Thanks for the input Grip, I'll def talk to the guys about it. It'd be pretty tough to have a viewers choice because of the number of people there and then we would need time to count them, but i'll see if we can figure out some way to do it. Awards were def a problem at the show. They needed more time to look at each car. We will prob extend the show next year to adapt to that problem.
Thanks again guys!
Thanks again guys!

railguns dyno run.
using SAE corrected #s (84 degrees, 24.71 in/hg absolute pressure, 0.121 vapor pressure) puts his horsepower at 540 at the wheels (mind you this is corrected for ideal conditions)

That Type R guy was seriously complaining? C'mon! The malibu put out 407 and it pulled so strong it was spinning the tires on the dyno.
I really thought the SR5 (? WTF is that on a 4runner or something) Camry/corolla that put out the whopping 85HP should have won an award.
Kuratos FC is sweet! 2 awards for the guy who left early!
I definitely enjoyed the show.
