Omaha's Annual Ice Cream Cruise 2012
Omaha's Annual Ice Cream Cruise 2012
Date - Saturday, September 1, 2012
Time – Car Show 4-9 – Cruise 9-10 – MAM 10-2ish
Starting Location - Werner / Storm Chasers Baseball Stadium
Ending Location – MAM Drag Strip
Ice Cream Cruise planning has been in full effect. A bunch of us sat down with the manager of Mid America Motorplex last night and it looks like MAM will be our end point this year. More details as they come. I will be updating this thread when we have new/more information. You can "like" the facebook page and join the event to stay up to date also. If you guys have never heard of this event, just youtube it. Help us make this years event the best to date. Hope to see you guys there.
THE 2012 ICE CREAM CRUISE DETAILS - We have secured a date with Werner's Storm Chasers baseball stadium for the beginning of the ICC this year on Saturday, Sept 1st from 3-9PM, the lot has 1,550 paved spots and 500 unpaved spots! (with overflow streets) This alone will make this years ICC run so much smoother than last year! To make things even more exciting, we have also started a partnership with Mid-America Motorplex in Pacific Junction, IA to end the cruise to give everyone a chance to race (until ~2AM) without being interrupted by the police (like the past few years). Not only will we be racing on the 1/8 mile drag strip, but a limited number of people will be allowed to street race on the 3/4 mile straight-away on the road course, this was a HUGE success back in 2003 and we know it will be again this year! HUGE THANKS to Roadkill & Tincher Auto-mall for their support in making this happen! These are just the high level details, we have many, many more surprises to come and know you'll be blown away by this year's ICC. Stay tuned! Also, make sure to share this post with your friends to help spread the word, we hope to stuff this parking lot full of cars once again!

Check out 7s corner on facebook, we're grouping up before the ICC for food and pics. Then cruising into the show as a group. The meeting area and restaurant is still up for debate, so get on and add your input. We're going to be arriving fairly early to ensure that the rotary's all park together. Check out the page, the more rx's showing up the better!

Shame you can't meet up with the group Jim. Ill hopefully see your fd at the show, saw you were on the loose moose list a few months ago, no one turned out that day, I think the heat and that huge show in Iowa killed things

Just wanted to introduce myself since I have been off the boards for a very long time. Name is Dave and I'm down in Bellevue NE. Do mainly FB's and will try to make it to the social if I get the rear wheel bearings on the GSl done before then. have lots of FB stuff also if you need anything.
Been into FB's since i bought my first one - a 79 back in 83. Then a new SE in 85 and too many other used ones since then.
Anyway, I may have met some of you guys before but wanted to say that there was another FB guy here in Omaha.
Cheers,
Dave

Yeah I rememebr Cusino's! I used to go there quite a bit. My pops bought a 84 626 and we always took it in there to be serviced. I'd go and look at the rx7's! Saw my first SE there. Red one sitting on the showroom floor. Guess a mechanic burned the place down with a careless use of a torch I heard.
Hey Mike B. - Yeah, I liked the new white rims on your FC and the red/pink pinstripe around the edge.

Loose moose list was sort of vague yes...lol. I meant the list at the fast cars for fast cures car show at the loose moose. We're having a hell of a time getting rx7s to sign up for our pre meet though. Anyways look forward to seeing you at the show Jim. And anyone else who isn't allready going with another group click the above link for the facebook page and sign up.

Ugly fc.... blah...lol. There are no ugly fc's, im sure its great. Hopefully you can meet up at hooters before hand and cruise with us! I love 7's and each one is awesome regardless of the money that's in it. Bring some friends too.... maybe we can get the hooters girls to pose for some pics with the cars.
