Minnesota 7s
I'm new to the RX7 scene. I've been wanting to gain some new friendships and what not. Unfortunately, I've noticed a large lack of 7s in the area so I was just curious as to who all is from Minnesota on this board? Slash post pics of your 7?

Welcome! I'm in Anoka and I just bought a 1990 GXL myself. Getting the engine put in and ready to go for this summer. I've also noticed the lack of RX's around, but there is one that I see every once in a while here in Anoka. No pics for you yet, It's waaaaay too dirty and torn apart for pictures now...

Well I can guarantee that if there was a meet to go to I would do my best to show up. Unless I'm working or something I would be there. I remember seeing a bunch of guys in Pontiac Grand Prixs doing a meet by my house once. I've wanted a piece of that action ever since.

I actually still have the checkbook from the old club, something like $1200 in the account. I still haven't spent it on myself.
A club like this needs commitment from ALL members involved. Jim L was instumental in getting the club up and running with others (like myself) pitching in to fill the gaps. When he was overburdened by the task and stepped away, the gap fillers were not enough to keep the group afloat. I had a couple cookout gatherings at my place in Saint Louis Park a few years back and we had a decent turnout.
As it has been said, there are a lot of talkers. Someone needs to take the torch and proceed to the next step.

I used to do some web programming i could set up a forum. and i can drive my car to a place and cook up a mean rack of ribs... I wish i could provide a place for a meet... MAPerformance in plymouth might be down but i have no idea. I have no problem making time in my life to bring people together over their collective passion for a wonderful machine. Lets do this thing. people interested in really starting to organize shoot me a pm and we should all grab lunch and discuss ideas...
