IN Midwest Mazda Fest 2010 (Indiana)

This year, Mazdafest 2010 promises to be bigger and better! Not only is Mazdafest a car show, but we also have door prizes, live music from Truett and the Traitors ( http://www.myspace.com/truett ), great food and games for people of all ages. The event is once again being held at the Ray Skillman Classic Car Museum, which is an amazing venue if you have never been there.

Like last year, we will be accepting donations for the Humane Society of Indianapolis. Please check their wish list ( http://www.indyhumane.org/donations/wishlist.php ) for items which they are in great demand. A donation of an item from that wish list will give you a minimum of 5 raffle tickets per item extra in addition to the 10 you receive just with your preregistration!

Preregistration is now open! Preregistration online includes:
* Car Show Entry
* Goody Bag
* Souvenir Photo
* 10 Door Prize Tickets
* T-shirt to first 50 Registrations

Preregistration and event information can be found on the club website. ( http://www.indyrx8club.com/mazdafest.htm ) If you do not make the preregistration deadline, you may still register online until April 25th or at the gate on the day of the event for $25. If you have any questions, please check out the Midwest Mazdafest 2010 sub forum ( http://www.indyrx8club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=65 )

This is just a couple weeks after DGRR, but I still might make it down if I don't have a race that weekend.

Anyone in Chicagoland or W/NW of that area that's going, I've offered my place as a landing/launching pad since I'm on the way. Check out the Rc³ forums for details.

If you're driving 55, sure.

I'm the landing strip. It's 160 miles from my place so it's not that bad.

20 more miles, change the oil, break-in is done. Start beating on it.

That doesn't preclude you from going faster than 55. We're not going to be driving like asshats so...

I made that drive on my break in as well, so you'll be OK.

yeah a trip to a car show is a great time to break in an engine, highway miles are way better than city break in.

Well I may decide to drive like an asshat to see how well this new NS setup will play out

J/K. Riz, its an EASY drive down and the weather is warming up. Why not just putz around Chicago over the next 4 weeks and get your break in miles done? Shoot, come on out to Elgin and say hello and drive back. That will get you on your way to being done

I'm probably in. Already at around 500 miles so I think I'll pull it off.

For the locals, see this thread as we need to start talking hotels. If we have enough, perhaps we can get our own group rate.

Why a hotel? Is it longer than a 1 day event?
