Saw a silver FD at Mid Continent Airport yesterday! I am not sure I have EVER seen a silver FD in Wichita. Couldn't see the plates to see if he was local or not, this was on the approach road, it was coming north while I was going south. Anyone know this car?
I'll post this in the Wichta thread also.

Anyone interested in buying an NA S5 FC in decent shape in OP? It's running (though it has a dead battery at the moment), but it runs rough. I was having idle problems before I just started driving another car. The car has ran really strong since I got it -- this is a car that I bought on eBay from a guy who knew nothing about it in New Hampshire. I brashly looked at the pictures and thought it looked decent enough to make the trip without a problem, and man, it made it alright. That road trip was one of the most enjoyable times I've had.
That said, I just can't care for it anymore since I'm really dedicated to my schooling, and trying to save the money I earn, not spend it on my car. I still want a 7, but when it's more logical, not when I'm a broke *** college kid.
here's some PROS
- Four new tires (Kumho ASX) installed <300 miles ago.
- Bonez SuperFlo Catalytic Converter installed <500 miles ago.
- New brake pads, remanufactured calipers installed on front <100 miles ago.
- ~100-105 PSI on both rotors, all faces. Pulls pretty damn hard for an N/A.
- BEAUTIFUL interior. Near perfect.
- Absolutely no smoke upon startup.
- Profesionally cleaned and balanced all four injectors (cruzinperformance)
- Recently installed new water pump; general tune-up when I got the car (wires/filters/etc)
- Recently cleaned engine bay. Before and after pix:

http://people.ku.edu/~volaju/after.jpg
Cons:
- Before I gave up on it, I was experiencing some kind of engine hesitation, almost seems like detonation. I don't know if that's possible considering it's an NA (?), but that's when I realized I wanted to drive a more reliable car.
- Being from New England, it's been exposed to the salty air and has some rust. Rust is beginning to bubble up on and around the sunroof. The previous owner tried to repair the floorboards by riveting some sheet metal, but this is only visible when looking underneath the car (carpet hasn't gotten wet or anything like that when it rains).
- 180,000 miles (possibly rebuilt engine? -- compression #s seem almost too high for a stock motor. regardless, pulls hard.)
- Some paint fade on the mirrors/top of spoiler.
- I removed P/S and A/C, the latter of which never worked when I had the car. Steering feels great and I'm confident with my job, as it's been over 1,000 miles and there's been no problems with the rack.
- Emergency brake cable snapped. Should be an easy repair as I can see where the cable broke, but I just can't find the time to do it.
- Been battling a coolant leak which may or may not be fixed at this point (damn thing!).
Because of the state of the car, which really should only take one day of work to get it running smoothly again, my (BIG) loss is your gain. I've put a lot of $$$ into this car, but I'm only asking $800 OBO.
If you have any questions you can post here, PM me, or email me at tysova@aol.com . Thanks guys!

Or do what I did with my FC.
take the banjo bold of the end of the fuel rail and crank the engine (spraying gas everywhere) untill it starts to fire. Then reconnect the banjo bolt and you're on your way.
There are better ways (pull the fuel pump relay), but this worked for me when I was 16 and had an FC.

I actually used to work out there -- ran the computer in the tower as well as did some announcing. Lots of fun, but lots of late nights.

I think this is the 2nd time this year? The local drag place won't do import drag anymore cause too much honda causing trouble. Could somebody let me know what the weather going to be on Saturday there? I don't want to drive 2 hour and have nothing to do?

Looks like thunderstorms tomorrow... I know the owner very well and if there is any chance to keep the race going, he will -- at nearly any labor cost (not at a safety cost of course). But if it's a losing battle or just flat out won't stop raining, he'll call it...
Weather.com is your friend -- I'd keep an eye there -- but they say chances are good for t-storms tomorrow.

Anyone make it? We were on our way to a movie, but I did do a "drive-by" and they were racing -- I didn't actually go in, but looked like a good turnout. I saw a lot of Hondas inside the gate. Weather actually held out, but it sure didn't look like it was going to.

I went, not bad turn out, and like you said a lot of honda's. This was my first time to WIR and i was very dissapointed. We were delayed 4 hours because another event was running long. So once we got in there i found the track to be poor quality. I probably wont be returning anytime soon. Might as well go to Topeka where the big boys race
