I just got insurance on my car again and got it to the point that it starts most of the time now (New motor with low compression, 70ish psi). I would appreciate a little bit of help tuning it (Haltech E6X) if anyone is interested. I live near Iowa City, and don't really feel to comfortable driving it very far yet.

Yeah, it's an Anniversary with street ported primaries and bridge ported secondaries. It has a little greddy turbo that I refer to as insta-boost, front mount IC and the E6X. I have a wideband and EGT gauge that I've been watching pretty close. I think that I've got the positive side of the map alright, but not great (11.5-12.2 AFRs with not to aggresive timing) running a max of 9 psi. The main problems I'm having right now are getting it to idle below 1800 and the vacuum side of the map sucks. It's really rough driving around right now. I've got 2-3 hours of idle and tinker time into it, then about 30 miles of driving beyond that. The motor isn't fully broken in yet by any means. Those are the main things right now. Obviously I have more supporting stuff (1600 secondaries, 4puck clutch, etc.) that I haven't specifically mentioned that play into it too. Anyway, I would welcome any help the day of the BBQ or any other time if anyone is interested. It's my toy car, so I don't have a daily driver urgency to get it done. It's not starting very well either, but that is now because of the trigger signal issue related to the E6X at cranking speeds.

Sold my car to James out of Davenport. Hopefully you guys will see the car more often now. Maybe you can talk him into bringing it to the next meet. As for me.........I've moved on to Nissan's

Sounds like you might have a weak vac at idle due to your bridge and new motor.
I would recommend using Throttle maps instead of vac due to the bridge at idle.
Basically with a weak vac signal it jumps all around and the haltech can't figure out what's going on. To counter this the haltech can use just TPS input to roughly gauge the air needed until positive pressure.

RX7 2ner, don't worry, I'm not a 16yo racing turd...I want to learn the car inside and out and how to properly handle it, not to spool the turbo every chance I get Although, the sound of it is nice But nah, I will probably be at the CR meet. Believe Steve pretty much talked me into it. There are a couple things I want to get fixed on the RX7 first though and hopefully they will be done before May 14th.

I think I told Rich to check out this thread but not sure if he has or not. As far as Russ, I havent talked to him in quite a while.
On a side note, anyone know where I can find a set of stock foglights from a first gen talon/eclipse/laser???

I think we may have the entire set of lights from a eclipse/talon at our shop.

I would be in for sure on a dyno day. At least, assuming noboody buys my car before then. Heck, if someone local buys it I'll pay for the dyno time just to see what it'll do. I'll pay for a morning session and a afternoon session if that is the only way to get some tuning time in between. Keep me updated.
