"Grinner" Hester Named 2007 Gateway Videographer!
“GRINNER” HESTER NAMED OFFICIAL VIDEOGRAPHER OF GATEWAY INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY!
Madison, IL, January 18th---Renowned Midwestern video artist William “Grinner” Hester has been named the Official Videographer of the 2007 racing season at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, IL. Hester, whose Moddin’ Art video series has gained acclaim within the industry, will apply his unique perspective to all aspects of competition at Gateway throughout the year. Working in conjunction with GIR’s planned GatewayTV website format, Hester will supply almost immediate video coverage of drag racing, oval track, car show and road racing events at the facility.
“It’s going to be a blast!”, exclaimed Hester during the recent 40th annual Gateway Track Champions Award Ceremonies where he officially began recording the season’s activities. “I’ll be attending as many events as my schedule allows and applying it directly to the new Gateway TV project. It will be very cool to present coverage of the events so quickly and, with the total freedom they’ve given to my productions, I’ll get the chance to add some flair to the coverage. I plan to use every available opportunity to add the shots that most folks never get a chance to see!”.
Hester will continue to produce and direct his Moddin’ Art series from his St. Louis studio but adds that much of his Gateway footage will inevitably find its way into future episodes. “I’ve just finished Moddin’ Art, Volume III”, said Hester, “and, now that the show has found its way to the networks, it will be a great opportunity to showcase the St. Louis talent. It’ll be fun adding all the effects and animation at my disposal to the GIR events and I can predict some outrageous stuff will come of it!”.
Hester’s work can be viewed at his website, ModdinArt.com, and his production facilities are displayed at GrinnerHester.com. Grinner’s exceptional talent is evident in his recent release shot during an impromptu trip to Sacramento, California; arriving at the ticket gate of Sacamento Raceway with only a rental car and a camera, Hester paid his entry and proceded to film an entire Moddin’ Art episode onsite! A clip can be seen at California: Part One.
