working at Phil's for three years kinda does that.
I started racing with SARC when they were setting up track at the FW Armory
I think everything is stored now that I'm in college (only until the end of July!!
or until BMW STEP starts again...

And you're a BMW guy too? Nice. Got an E36 328i Cabrio at home. Good luck on the STEP stuff.

that's that 50's looking diner across from the mall right? I've seen some get togethers there before but never stopped by. as for your v8.....I respect it as that's what i grew up wrenching on, but i'm going to stay with my rotary. something fascinates me about a 1.3 being able to smoke a v8 with no reliability issues

Everybody around here knows that my car looks more beat up than a taxi cab.
It was actually refered to as being a "sleeper" this past weekend by those Elkhart boys. I was sort of offended.
Then I looked at how beat up my car was and thought... ... ... oh.
And it sure as hell aint reliable...

I'm not out to convince anyone to go V8 or rotary, I've helped friends with both. Just my own choice for the V8.

speaking of preventative maintenance, does banzai do trans rebuilds? OTT tells me that 5th gear is starting to occasionally grind. sounds like sychros to me i hate transmissions and have never been any good at gear meshing, soooo, i need somewhere that will do a damn fine job on the trans.

They will only do it if you have them pull the trans. Then they send it out to a fort wayne transmission shop to rebuild it.
They don't actually rebuild them at banzai.
I'm on my third transmission, and hopefully last.
My first and second ones were usdm and both eventually grinded going into 5th. Sometimes 3rd if I'm racing.
My new one is a S6 JDM. It rocks! It shifts like butter...
Shorter 5th gear is so practical. I got it from Brian (Japan2LA) here on the forum.
He's got like a million of them. I wanted a S7 or S8 but he rarely has those in stock.
$495.00 +185.00 shipping = $680.00

Wow. I've only got 7 or so. Old Baja Beetle, RC10CE, home build drag car, Traxxas Stampede, Blade Helicopter, and the good ones... 8800KV brushless RC18T and 5700 KV brushless RC10 B44 (both LiPo). Anyone run a 4wd mod buggy class? I'm pretty much ROAR legal. I know the guys at Phil's said they'd never even seen a B44, so I'm not hopeful on a 4WD mod class... I can hold my own with 1/8 buggy/truggy though, power wise anyway.

I'll have to have you bring that thing out to my parents house to kill a few hundred thousand of those damn mosquitoes so we can have a couple peaceful nights outside this summer what do say, $15 and hour at idle at a 25:1 premix ratio?
