well you could do a 235/40 in the front.. infact after some thought that may be your best... bet..
do you have coil-overs???
you'll have to roll your fenders.. throw about 3 deg of camber at it..
for the rear... 255's are a big tire.. esp for street duty.. and can be kinda rough with an LSD diff... kinda silly that 10mm section width can make such a difference.. I wouldn't go wider than a 245 unless you were doing some heavy autoX type stuff... in which case you should go to 275's.
besides... a semi-stretched 245 tire on a 9" wheel looks sexy !!!
i can go further aboot it if you like... but for now... let find out if you have coil-overs... and uh.. do you have rear steer eliminator bushings???

azar, dont take this the wrong way..
but this is PRECISELY why i steer clear of the RX-7 board...
im here far less than I used to be...
so here is me being really nice here...
you think tokico blues are going to hold 400ft/lbs of torque???
and you think 400 hp is going to be manageable with out rear steer elim bushings????
when it comes to building cars... ALWAYS SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!!!!
and I don't think your +35 offset wheels are going to fit... you'd need to grind the lower spring perch for 225 to fit... on a 38 offset.. let alone 235 on your 35 offset wheels..
either way.. you really should roll your fenders...

Never really thought about the mass amounts of torque and stuff.....I'll have to check around with TC and see what everyone else is running as far as suspension.
The bushings may have been put on by the previous owner, as this car used to be a HKS 60-1 13-b. I'll have to check for those.
And the wheels I asked on TC a while back and a lot of the guys said that it would *probably* fit. ( http://www.torquecentral.com/showthr...t=40497&page=1 )
But yes, maybe I should roll my fenders. But the 10AE is in such good condition....*sigh* decisions, decisions. Thanks for the input Chuck.

dude,
you've like bastardized the car with a v8...
nothing wrong with it... 'cept for the fact that.. no matter how good of condition it is in.. it'll never win concours or anything, being non-original...
build what you want...
i wonder whatever happened to the rays that were on it..

david... I have plenty of old blown up OE turbos...
but I;ve learned my lesson everytime I ran into this issue... I replaced the studs with new.
PB blaster... then removed the old with a stud remover/installer socket.

Where can I get these studs? What size are they? I can't get the dp off because the nut is stripped too. It's the top one furthest away from the engine. I'd like to get it off without taking the turbo off... i dunno what to do. It's too damn cold out. LOL The exhaust leak is driving me nuts. I 'm gonna try and tackle this when it gets warmer.
On another note. What you recommend for a good quality bov. I believe the one on the car is a "imitation" HKS ssqv. It doesn't want to close all the way went I return to idle. Dunno if it's the bov or maybe I need a better vac source. Thought about replacing it with a real one or maybe a diff. one.
