What the ****? You know regardless of successful outcomes on Jeff's part, it is still his damn car. If he wants to do something with his car, well, it is his car. Just because you don't agree with what he wants to do with his car doesn't make it your car to decide what to do with it.

Chuck, I don't think you get it. I'm not trying to flame you, I'm not trying to go against you at all, I just think the whole route you are telling Jeff what to do is a bit over the top excessive.

And what the hell do you know about me and my haggardness? I don't think you, or anyone else on this board, know me even remotely close to enough to call me haggard. Hell, the people who you even know me through don't know me well enough to have the right to call me haggard.

The only thing I know is that every ******* time I come here all I see is you going off on Jeff for wanting to do something. If you don't agree with something he is going to do, there are a lot better ways to go about telling him it is a bad idea than going off on him about being an idiot, or ricer, or whatever else you've called him.

I don't really care either way. I'm not one to advocate anything at all, either way around. Its someone else's car, let them do whatever the hell they want to do with it, and if it blows up you can either help them repair it or not. Regardless of whether or not Jeff's car blows up because of his course of action with it, I would most certainly help him rebuild it if he needed the help with it.

And as far as punching you in the face goes, why the **** would I punch you in the face? I'm just sick of this bullshit of coming here to rx7club every ******* day and seeing all this bullshit arguing. This thread was started to figure out where the hell we are meeting the next time, not to flame eachother because of what we want to or what we don't want to do to our damn cars.

lets throw that engine of jeff's in your FC, with my flywheel/clutch from the RX-3.
or use the facotry flywheel with it.. and one of the many clutches hanging on the wall of clutches.. and save the lightweight stuff for the other engine... maybe mate that to a TII trans... we can play with all that when the FC isn't sitting in the garage..

maybe just throw some cheap kook's on the ASA's... and call it a day.

i should have all the stupid gaskets and **** to get the engine in the car..
we'll need to swap diffs... and install the hard trans mounts, and engine mounts.. if you need to order new engine mounts, lets just use fuking hockey pucks..

get used to the chassis again, then swap engines...
(which for the record, I think we should port a set of TII housings, and use the rotors and rotors housings from your new engine.... to rebuild a different set-up
high compression 4-port..

OR reassemble that engine with stock-ish or stock 6-port side housings.. sell it.. and start from scratch.
RX-8 rotors, FDrotor housings
TII side housings, balanced, with a 5.25" tilton clutch
running individual throttle bodies...

I completely understand where you are coming from. I'm not telling you that you are wrong by any means at all either because let's face it, you are more than likely right; however, it somewhat coincides with what you said dealing with learning from it. In the event that Jeff takes a course of action and it fails, he will learn a hell of a lot more through why it fails, what needs to change to make it work, and whether or not it is worth doing again than him just saying "Well, Chuck said it won't work so I'm not going to do it."

My entire mindset behind life is to experience and understand things for yourself. You only live once, why live in fear of whether something is going to fail, and regardless of failure or success, try and take as much from the experience as possible. That doubles for other people. I say let people make their own choices to ensure they get as much from the experience as possible. The only thing I will say when it comes to modifying cars is to ensure you have a good reliable daily driver.

Jeff is a damn stubborn guy. You and I both know that. If he puts his mind into doing something, he is going to do it. The route of you telling him that it will fail is just making him more determined to do it just to go against you, to try and prove your wrong.

And for the record, the only reason my FB is sitting is because my priorities are set with buying a house over all else right now. I've been putting back as much money as possible to make sure I have a good down payment for a house, and honestly I think that owning a house is much more important than building a car to have fun with.

Anyway, I'm sorry if I came off like I was trying to be a complete *******, I am just getting overly frustrated with this constant back and forth arguing with one another.

Yeah, I'm sure you could tell him things about the failure that he wouldn't otherwise get, but isn't the fun part of life learning things on your own? I don't really care either way, like I said. If you want to give him advice, have at it, but all you've been doing through here is just pissing him off more than helping him.
