Prior to Fast and furious.
There were street racing teams. Fort Wayne had several clubs/teams, including some muscle cars.
This was in the 90's. Back when we used to hang out at the "Super Shops" across from Northcrest....
Then it was "Borders" and "Jiffy lube". And then a million more places.

It's just stuck, because every year we have people from out of town come challenge us.
It's fun representing Fort Wayne.

Really cheesy...but still fun.

If they bring any muscle cars that we can't beat, I'll call Blake or Nick to hold down the fort.

Your child support isn't cutting in anymore.
I have needs.
You'll be hearing from my lawyer.

Anyways.....
Where the hell have you been hiding?
You do anything to your 8-banger yet?

Summer's my busy time, man. You know this beer gut can't grow itself! (not really a beer gut, just a general overweightedness...) I am typically out partying on the weekends.

Tonight, I changed the oil pressure sender. (Blake was kind enough to donate one to me.) Got that working again, then took it out...it behaved wonderfully. Started right up, idled fine, cruised fine, etc...etc.

About an hour later, go to start it up...hits but doesn't catch. Wait a few minutes, try again. Starts right up...back out of garage, turn out lights. Motor dies. Go to start it up, coughs, hard start. Drive to gf's place, hang out for a few hours, break up, go back out.

Fails to start. Wait a few minutes, still doesn't start. Wait a few more minutes..still no start. 3rd try is a charm, coughs then fires up. I take it out of her addition and hit the street....I may or may not have kicked it sideways in a giddy moment of glee.

Thank god me and her used to be really good friends and the breakup was mutual. Or that coulda been awkward.

Because I only watched this build come together, I have no idea what to even look for. I'm honestly thinking about just changing plugs and wires...we have enough at the shop, just to see what happens. Blake presumes (and most likely correctly) that it's something in the harness that is being a total DICKFACE.

I ******* love this car, once it's all sorted out...I'll be nigh unstoppable.

Whats up with you? How's the rotardy running?

Drew,

I think we may just have you bring it out to mi casa, and I'll tear into that wiring. Something stupid is causing an issue, methinks it's a ground.

Personally, I blame the jackass who wired it, honestly.

The only reason I parked it was because it wasn't starting, and I didn't feel like getting stranded anywhere. Then Blake came over, regrounded it and I let it sit for a week because I was babysitting a house on Dupont.

If my car didn't start there, I didn't have a plan b. I would have to call into work. Whereas at home, if it doesn't start...then I can roll the rock n rolla Corolla.

Besides, I've gone high tech now..I have a bunch of songs on my phone, along with a headset adaptor so I've got tunes now too. About to order some suspension parts for it as well. Y'know, feed the beast and ****.

As soon as this starting issue gets sorted out, I'll be cruisin this bitch everywhere. As I have a hunch that the bouncing idle and high idle issues have to do with whatever is causing it to be a total bitch and not start.

If I fix the car, and Drew doesn't drive it, I'm retiring from the 10AE. Got that Drew?

We'll figure it out. It spits fuel when it doesn't start, which means the PCM has power. This means that either the CPS or a ground isn't happy. The idle issue backs this theory up. You have a spare CPS Drew ("my" LS1), so we'll swap that, then redo the interior harness connections (I don't like the way I did yours anyway, we'll redo it like mine) and clean up a few other things while we're at it. This is a simple problem, just tough to find.

I was drivin this thing everywhere before it started to be a dick, you know this MAN! Remember, I even drove it in the rain one day.

I still drove it a little and risked the possibility of no start, that's how much this car rocks. Gonna order some DTSS eliminators and adjustable camber bar for the rear. Then gotta go get it aligned. Then CD player/interior cleanup...then ????...lastly, PROFIT.

At least you're shiny. My Corolla hasn't been washed in well over a year. I may be out...I don't know yet.

Does anyone know a guy that drives a 2005ish black Z06.
He did a ricer fly-by on me on i69 while I was adjusting my fuel map.
And when I got behind him to get ahead of traffic, he turned onto exit 102.

Probably early 30yrs old...pigment of skin is thoroughly white...nut warmers on his face(goatee).

Let him know that I'm going to skin his face and slaughter and eat his children.

It looked like the first one. The older one. I think...lol

If weather permits, I plan to go out Friday but not Saturday. 50% chance of PM rain.
I'll be out of town...again.
Are you going to be out?

I'll be out in the newly "no longer creepy over 30 mph rear suspension" BMW.

Yay for junkyards and spare parts.

Now, if only it wasn't SLOW.

Alright Team Fuzion guys... we need to have some races with Jake's Cobra, since you guys feel the need to keep beating up on us poor, defenseless muscle car guys who never talk any smack and are always polite....

Seriously though, it's nice to have some local imports that actually have their **** together, and aren't total jackasses.

He's got me beat from a dig or roll.
....seriously.

Damn...you guys are bullies.

Rob, where you at dawg?
Come out there and get my back.
You can put my license plate on your car.
