White dongle or black dongle???
I have my lt10s all hooked up to my 13b but have been having computer connection issues. When my ecu is connected to my pc with no dongle inline the microtech software connects but shows no data values. With my black dongle inline, the software says no connection to ecu. So now I am wondering if I bought the wrong dongle. Microtech sells a white one and a black one. Is the white one the one I need to connect to my pc? Any info is greatly appreciated. I have boughten 2 black dongles thinking I just had a faulty one, no connection from either one... Should I just buy the white dongle? or buy the handset?

I can't say for sure, but I've used both a white and black dongle with my ECU so I don't know if it matters.
You mentioned in another thread that you were having COM port issues. A little info about your laptop? Can you test the COM port with something like a serial mouse or modem?

if you're using a USB adapter cable, make sure you have the USB software installed for the hardware to work properly.. then you have to set the COM ports, depending on which USB hub you have it connected to, since the microtech uses a serial COM port it does not automatically switch from USB to serial COM port connections in most laptops. you can check in your hardware manager after you have the cable hooked up to see which location it is using.
