Upgrade MT-8 to LT-8

Can it be done? How much does it cost?
Advantages? Disadvantages?

Yep.

$200 AUD

3D fuel mapping and the ability to use the LT laptop software.

You'll probably have to have your car down for a few weeks as it gets shipped back and forth to Australia.

Dale, that was a tongue-in cheek question. My MTX-8 has been at jon's/microtech for ~ well over a week and I havn't heard from Jon.

The time scale question is in reference to 2-3 days turn-around at MICROTECH for an upgrade. John

sorry dude :p

usuall turn around time would be 3-4 from the time it leaves you to the time it returns to you,

1 week from you to here, week getting it to microtech and upgraded and back, then a week or so back to you.,

Just wondering..Ive had an mt8 in my car for almost 4 years and never had a problem. But now im told with my new turbo and injectors that the standard coils arent very reliable with higher HP motors and that i should change to a ECU with ignition and use the bosch coils. Probly not likely but can the mt8 be upgraded to mtx8? or am i saving for a whole new ECU?

your stock coils will be fine for up to 500rwhp,
you could throw a booster on it for some more if you want to.
