My point exactly!I was told by then 2 buy a lts10..........i dont know maybe the guy on the phone wanted 2 make another sale but it does have me thinking cause i dont want 2 damage a brand new ECU.

a brand new 90's tech ecu...
.. i cant see why ballasting the injector with a resister wont 'fix' the issue..much like even mazda tried back in 86 ,,
most importantly... its all about the load / heat across the driver .
which , when ballasted is now the same as it would have been with the high ohming injectors
however
not having the features such as user selectable driver current configuration
( such as on most other ecus,, some well back to the 90's
..these other ecus allow selectable peak hold or saturated injector driver current signals )
IE.. 4 and 1 amp driver config for low ohm injectors ( peak ...hold )
will however amount to excessive injector lag and or heat..
( in practice you can get away with it, just expect laggy injectors with poor staging control )

I have been looking for a injector driver but so far fjo units are long gone,aem units are huge bulky boxes with 10 injector drivers and i dont need that many.Resistors look like is gonna be the way 2 go for a little while,i just bought this injectors and they have a couple of k miles on them so i can really justify 2 spend a couple of hundreds on injectors.
It looks like the Lt9 might run my setup fine,i was running a lt8s before and it ran good,not perfect but decent.
It looks like you can change setup the rpm bins this time around.
Individual rotors trim.
It runs a idle control valve.
Save map 2 disk is bullshiet!You can save maps 2 a laptod but you cant upload them 2 the ecu.You still need the dongle.
User selectable map sensor N/A, 20psi, 30psi or 45psi.
Software is the same as the LTC series ECUs but it has different options when running LT9
Mine is setup for LS1 coils and RX8 mode cause i am running a FFE trigger wheel.
I hope that i can finish this install soon so i can try it and see how it goes.

The microtech has had very minor changes since the mt8 came out. even to some degree the digi.
Any workshop who sells the lt10s or lt9c saying it is better than any current mt or lt they currently have is just trying to squeeze some money out of you.

Bump!There is a new software update coming out this weekeend at the jamboree that has 32x32 maps(you can still use the old 16x16 if you want 2)
save 2 disk
fuel and oil pressure inputs and some more stuff but it will only work on the new LTC series not on the old LTS or LTX series.
Also a new ECU LT15C that runs 4 rotor engines.

Yes they are for a street car..... Had one and took it out of the car in less than one year.... I wish I had saved the money for the ems I got later...
Street car uses many functions that the old microtech can't handle.. A few examples : flex fuel, boost control, good idle valve control ,fuel press fail safe, oil press fail safe, high speed fan compensation .. Limited outputs ...... Very limited tuning options ..
I remember back in 2012 they promised a new software update with few of this options state above but we are still waiting.....

Ok lets say you wernt interested in all the auxilliaries and didnt have an idle control valve, would the lt9c still be adequate for a nice tune?
The guy doing the tune wanted to keep the mtx8 in the car, and has already put half a tune on it, hes mentioned pgrading to lt9c, Im all for it although id prefer adaptronic or haltech after reading threads like this.
At the end of the day im not fussy as long as the car drives nice, but i would hate to spend $800 on an ecu that will give me the ***** for ever after when if i spent 300 more have a car that drives sweet.
Im not overly fussed about the auxilliaries, although the failsafes would be nice, as fans and aux injection can be run seperatly, would there be an advantage to using and lt10c instead?

I have a lt9 and i am one of the first lt9 owners here in the state.When i ordered mine i specify what input and outputs i wanted and what type of ignition system i wanted 2 run.I can control my idle valve,i can control my fan,32x32 software,individual rotor trim and i can run x4 box or internal igniters with no problem.This is on a setup that before microtech wasnt good enough to run(1000cc primaries 2000cc)and it idles perfect for a bridgeport.

I have ltx-16 and it runs low impedance injector just fine. I now have high impedance because I am running 2 of them in batch, but for a single injector per each driver, low impedance is fine.

I do have ignition/fuel cut,over rev protection and overboost protection also,no fuel flex,no voltage comp no other fancy options.The car runs great start right up and it makes more power than your average build.No complaints so far with my unit but i am installing one on a friends car and so far it looks like it has to go back to australia cause is having some weird issues with the fuel pump control.

A little joke. As a basic ECU the Microtech does fine. Reliable VR conditioners and...well, that's about all I can think of right now.
I'd say "easy to tune" but the software is hostile to use with odd key combinations, lack of any advanced features (table scaling, for example), etc.
Maybe I'm still bitter about not getting the promised software updates to my LT8s.

This is of topic Aaron but i will love to see some screenshots of you Microtech map just to see how you got around the poor interpolation and injector staging issues on the lt8s cause i did never got my lt8 to do it nicely enough for my liking.

Never really had injector staging issues, and my map is just from tuning. Making the changes in the matrix table and then averaging them out in the graphical view is the most effective way to smooth it out. Though my Bridgeport results in a fairly lumpy map down low so it looks odd. Nature of the beast.
