microtech issues

hi guys,
i have a microtech lt8 which i have recently installed into my car, having a few problems getting the car to run tho.

rechecked all my wiring, resoldered any connections that looked sus, checked the wiring to my cas, all ok. still no start

put microtech in test mode, could hear injectors clicking AND tacho moved to 1800rpm. also had leading coil lead #1 unplug with spark plug earthed, checked in test mode, was sparking. have also read somewhere secondary coils dont fire when cranking?

did a bit more research on the net, noticed all the maps i looked at from diff ppl, they all had Pump1AMT set at +10%. mine was set at 0%, tried 10%, kicked over, idled really rough, let my foot off accelartor and it died. Pump2Amt is set at +30%.

set Pump1Amt back to 0%, adjusted mixtrim to -60% car started, tried increasing to -50% but the car just spluttered and died.
so yeh thats where im at.
tps still only reads 25% full throttle, tried adjusting, no difference. shows asterix on screen indicating it is set correct tho at 00%?
Any suggestions?

car will run fine with microtech unplugged and factory computer plugged in. all coils firing etc

Thanks
Andrew

what is your MAP sensor signal reading out when it is idling if you can get it to idle?

cant get the car to run for long enough to get a map reading. i have the vaccum hose for the map sensor in the microtech plugged into where the vaccum line goes into the intake manifold for the factory pressure sensor

thanks

the map reads instantly... reset it to the stock map..hopefully you have it stored.. if you dont, then try to play with your tps settings or tps. Do you have the narrow range or fullrange?

mixtrim seems really weird... what size primaries are you using? and have you tried it at 0?

sounds like you have your TPS wired incorrectly, swap the wires around till it reads correctly, if it dosent read correctly your tps is faulty,

what injectors do you have in the car?? pump settings will not effect starting or idle,

Id go to screen 33, and and check the error log, see if the TPS or the CAS is giving you an error, then you can go from there.

If one of them shows an error, test the wire between the ECU and the sensor, if the checks out try replacing the sensor. Also check and re-check the wiring again before you start any of these.
