Microtech fried my ECU?

fried my ECU?
I was trying to get my timing set up better today and took off the top plate of the CAS while the engine was running. All of a sudden, the car just shut off and I lost all power to the ECU. I checked over the main power wire and ground wire and they were still connected... fuse still good.
I'm hoping I didn't fry the ECU... Does anyone know what it could be. I'm not getting any power at all to the ECU... (Lt8)

What?!! You took the cover off the CAS and it died? That doesn't make any sence unless you dropped something down in there. I don't see any reason why it should just take a dump because the cap was off.
You say you are not getting any power to the MT? I would check the main power and ground wire for power, right where they go in to the EMS. Be sure to use the ground wire as ground and not some part of the frame. If you have power right before it goes in the MT and it's not coming on....= ( If there isn't any power, then that's a good thing because now you know the prob. is between the batt. and MT..not the MT it's self.
Be sure to use a meter when checking fuses....looking at them is no good.?
