Anyone running spiral wound ignition leads?

I made up a set of leads for my 13BT 1st gen. before I had a chance to read the Microtech manual. It recommends againts the use of leads such as spiral wound due to the increased chance of RFI. I assume it's mainly to do with the CAS signal wires. Anyone had a problem with these sort of leads or Top Gun spiral wire in particular?
