the carb is the first thing I ended up replacing. I went with the webber 32/36 DGV 5A with the manual choke. haven't had any problems with it, works great, and easy to tune. i think it may run a little rich and i hear the jets it comes with are a little on the rich side. i plan to swap them out in the near future.

Nice to see a fellow RX-7 AND Opel GT owner! what a rarity. You have great taste in cars my man. I've owned mine for just about 2 years now. it's a 70' and has the 1.9 high compression engine. I came across it at a junk yard and all it needed was a new carb and some under body reconstruction, it fired right up. the exteriors not in near as great of shape as yours i must say. but i have painted my front rims black to match the rear, that helps. now just for some fender reconstruction and some misc other things and new paint job and.. haha you get the idea.
