Please help I'm trying to install ms1 extra in my 2nd gen stock turbo 2 using the zeal daughtercard. I have built and installed the card but I'm not getting any rpm signal. I have checked and I'm getting 12v and 5v to the board. I'm not exactly sure on how to wire it up but I brought NE+ to Pin24 then wired TACHSELECT to VR1+ on the daughtercard, NE- to pin5 then wired SPR3 to VR1- on the daughtercard, G- to Pin3 then wired SPR1 to VR2+ on the daughtercard, G+ to Pin4 then SPR2 to VR2- on the daughtercard. Then VROUT1 goes to TSEL and VROUT2 goes to JS8. I also added the pull up resistor to the lighted diodes and I'm running the output to the coils from the diodes just like in aaron's write up. Is there anyway to check and see if the signal is making it from the CAS to the Zeal daughtercard or any other checks I can do on the board to see if I fried it? Also,t he car ran before the install but on the stock ecu. Thanks and any help would be much appreciated!

 

if you put an LED with an appropriate resistor in the circuit, unplug the coils, power it up, then turn the CAS by hand. it should flash if the signal is making it. i forget where to place the LED and resistor, but if you look for a thread by afterburner16, muythaibxr describes it pretty clearly. i was testing an MS2 v.3.57 with a Zeal, but i'd guess since you're testing the Zeal, the instructions should be the same.
