Build your own. Otherwise when the next newfangled add-on comes along, you'll be too scared to open the box. It's a 4-6 hour job with some very basic tools most of you should have anyways. By going through the building process, you'll also have the opportunity to learn about electronics, reflashing the embedded code, and efi basics in general.
There is tons of builders support on the msefi forum, with literally 100's of people with little to no electronics assembly experience successfully building and installing these things. The kits and instructions are great. Follow them to the letter, and do the tests along the way, and you've got something worth much more than a warranty...the ability and experience to fix/mod it yourself.
Vendors are selling assembled units for $270-$330 range, while a complete kit to build the identical MS box is $130 here:

Figure 6 hours labour (half that if you've built a few), and $150 savings, that works out to $25/hr (after tax) you get paid to do the job yourself!

I agree with Roger. If you must have a built unit then at least support one of the groups that are helping to develop things further. I have worked with http://www.rs-autosport.com/ on some of the beta testing and can recommend them highly.
Some others just copy what the trailblazers are doing. In one case someone even bought a kit off one of the other kit suppliers and copied it.

yes, it is good
And yes, you can ditch the stock ECU, but you have a LOT of reading to do before you ditch it... I'd start by reading all the threads in the Megasquirt part of this forum, and then www.megasquirt.info (not necessarily in that order).

Accell wasted spark
Would this HEI be capable of driving an Accell ecoil with dual high voltage terminals by conecting it to the reluctor pickup in the '81-'85 electronic distributor? The goal is to provide a DFIS with low cost.
