Megasquirt Need help to setup MS V3.0 on my 12A

I think there is no problem to use 4 in parallel, since they will need ~4A and the driver can go to 14 Amps.
I get this from the net about the injectors i have.
"First, a set of all-new Denso injectors has been mounted in the venturis of the large 44mm
machined aluminum throttle bodies. An entirely new manufacturing process endows these
fourth-generation injectors with a radial array of 12 holes that produce a wider, more
diffused output. As a result, this more finely atomized spray covers a wider area and mixes
20 percent more efficiently with the intake air, which results in more efficient combustion.
In addition, new, dramatically lighter needle bearings allow the injectors to respond to
electric signals 30 percent faster than the previous generation--an amazingly short response
time of 1/1000th second. In addition, these new-generation injector bodies also weigh 25 percent
less than the previous units."

Yes, but it depends if they are low or high impedance, 2x 13ohm = 6ohm, or low impedance 2x 2~3 ohm = 1~1.5 ohm.
I´m going to try it all 4 in parallel .
I have almost everything.
Missing:
exhaust header
Leading coils
Some wiring
Connectors for the injectors ( i notice that they are the same as RX8 ) same body type and also from Denso.
Ken, please tell me what is the best firmware at the moment, the one i have is from 2009 2.x.x , it was working on the table, now i´m reading it all again, many things i already forget,
and since it was never installed on the car the best is making it all with new version of software.

This is like restarting school.
The firmware i have was 3.0.3.
I start to remember things again, already upgrade to 3.1.1 and looks ok.
Now i need to figure out some things, need to flow test the injectors, i think the best way to do is, after know the flow of each one,
say in software that i have the same amount of injectors as the Rx7 have and set the flow as it was 2 injectors primary and 2 secondary.
Or there is other better way to do it ?
Any suggestions ?

And some more updates
Instead of removing the Q4, Q20 etc circuit i keep it to run the FIDLE relay for Fan control, and add the TIP12x for PWM Idle and change the pins that drive these 2 outputs to match the correct function.
One more DB9 so the CAS signal come direct to MS instead of using the MSPOWER inputs and long cable.
Here you can see the JS0 that goes to control the existing Q4+Q20 circuit, and the nasty 2 VR circuit.

Ok, after more time than i want i have finish my car.
I´m posting some pics, but the car already start and run for 4 seconds,
but it was late and the fuel pump was leaking, so later i will try a outside
test.
for now pics of the work.

Megasquist and power relay.

Fuel rail modification.
Idle valve, don´t know if this lacation is going to work, if not i will move it.
This is were the lub is going to enter the filter box, not finish on this picture.

Here it is running.
the car is not tuned, it was not hard to make it run, only after i change the req fuel i was able to make it run and start better.
this i may need some help, i have 4x primaries flow about 200cc, engine size 2300cc, 4 cylinders, AF Ratio 14.7, it ends up with less than 10ms i have to change setting to get more than 10ms, other way my table was to high on low
load.
I think it is the same if we say to the ECU that we have 2x400cc or 4x200cc
still at 9.6ms i have to change way up my Fuel VE table arround 50 or more.
Any advise on this please inform.

And if someone have a timing base map were to start it will help a lot, i have see many tables but most are for 13B engines
and i read somewere that the 12A have different timing and split table.
Tanks in advance.

I´m planing to run LPG/GPL in near future ( not shore yet ) but i also want to try to use a more restrict exhaust for quiet driving, and use a valve to make it more open and laud, and i think that it will mess up with the actual VE and spark table.
#63
To correct, not more loud i don´t like too much noise, i mean less restriction.

The staging is based on RPM not on table.
By the way, staging is working great, the up injectors goes on without notice, very smoth.
what i want i also use table switching, for example to run LPG and have a complet different VE and Spark, there is one option Flex Fuel Settings, but i think is better to have it tuned independent, and use a switch to run petrol or LPG.
If i enable table swithcing (fuel and spark ) "Extended" i get Fuel VE table 3, and ignition table 3, but after open ingition3 it say Spark table advance Table 1, but the map stays different from table1 on "Basic setup" maybe is just the name that is wrong.

Now is getting more confused for me, in General Lags we have Dual table use (or single table) and inside Extended we have Table switching.
Is the first one for injection staging and the other one for other usage LPG for example?
Or we can only use the table switching if we have Dual table enable ?
I´m reading the manual to try to understand how it works, if you or someone can
explain please replay.

i think that i get it.
(from the manual)
Table Switching Control
The MS2-Extra code can switch between 2 different Fuel (VE table) and or Spark tables at a specific set point whilst the engine is running.
This can be done based on RPM, TPS, MAP KPa or even using an external switch, e.g. when LPG switches on.
Once the setpoint has been made the fueling and or spark map will be instantanously swapped over to Fuel VE Table 3 and Spark Table 2 respectively.
(Fuel VE Table 2 is reserved for Dual Table)
So i think is ok to run table switching, only split table will be the same.

Hello,
my 12A is getting better, still need some tuning, only headers and the rest of
the original stock exhaust "the dogs don´t like the sound it makes".
Also i need to fine tune the AE wizard.
One thing i notice, low end torque is normal, but in high rpm i think the 12A can do better.
Maybe after i finish the exhaust with 2.5" pipe and muffler things will change
on the high rpm side.
Here is a short video

Just like in the picture, i have buy it on ebay, but the dashcam make 2 separated files,
one for each cam, i have use video editor software to mix the 2 images just like
is shows on the dashcam.
The first part of the video was made with a Nokia N8

Some say he like to dig old threads...
Well done on not giving up man, that is commitment !!
I am in the process of doing the exact same setup, except i run a microsquirt v2. Bike throttle bodies and 8 injectors. For what its worth, you can use honda s2000 injectors, plug n play, and they are 340cc/min iirc.
In the end, did you wire 4 injectors per output or not ?
Thanks

.
Hello,
Yes, the primaries on the throttle all 4 together, and on top the same for the secondary.
About the S2000 injectors, tanks, i didn´t know that, i think that the CBR600 RR have only 190
or 200cc, and they are near the limit.
The control on low rpm is not very precise, you touch the pedal and all 4 throttles open with a
lot of air entering the engine,, best it to use high gear.
I hope you have success.

Did you ever get things dialed in with this quad? I’m struggling with mine. It really doesn’t like initial throttle opening and I’m struggling with getting deceleration to work without stalling out at stop signs.
