1 of 3 things:
either it's mechanically loose, the wires are cut or have a corroded connection/ bad grounding, or the TPS is bad. It is the full sweep tps and not the on/off one correct? Check it with a multimeter to see if it gives full sweep without spikes or dropouts.

I also recommend turning off anything but warmup idle control until you get the engine idling stable.

Back at it.

Sorry it has been so long since I updated... I have been away from the car for a while so I couldn't do much.

The engine locked up completely about two weeks ago and would not turn under the power of the starter or with a breaker bar on the front of the motor. I figured it was carbon locked from all the rich, short starts so i got some deep creep and soaked the motor over night and was able to free it... I pulled a compression check and it still has compression on all faces. I was quite lucky.

As for the Meqasquirt i switched to a different Vacuum port for the MAP sensor and it started easier and ran smoother while running but still shuts off after about 20 seconds of running. My ASE is still dissabled and my Warm up enrichment is still the same as the previous MSQ. What would cause it to die at 20 seconds of running? could it be way to rich and just bogging out after 20? After the first start of the day it is always flooded and will rarely restart untill it has sat for quite a while...

My AFR gauge is still giving really innacurate readings in Tuner studio and i am going to try to reconfigure or calibrate it in tuner studio today when i get off work.

I did not get a datalog from the start today cause I was an idiot and forgot to start the log but I am going to try it again tomorrow after it has sat for a while.

I guess my question is what is the most likely culprit for instant death after 20-25 seconds of running. Even after changing the vacuum port it didn't run much longer. I will get up another Datalog as soon as possible.

Thank you to everyone who has taken a look. I really appreciate the help.

Oh and my TPS is not a full sweep... It is all the way out and reading 100% at about 30% throttle, should I start searching for another TPS sensor?

New datalog... afr calibrated

I went in and set up my afr gauge the way it should be and it seems to be reading accurately. I also recalibrated the TPS (although it is still not a full sweep sensor)...

I started it up this morning and got a datalog that now has AFR readings on it. As you can see the engine still died after only a few seconds. my AFR's seem a little rich so i think i'm going to back down the warm up enrichment a bit.

At this point i don't really think that the dying is the fault of my mixture. I realized today that my oil pressure gauge is broken so i am going to try to get some other gauge in it... would it be possible that the engine is running without oil and killing the motor when it starts to not spin as freely? I don't really know what to think at this point. Any reccommendations will be greatly appriciated.

I will attach my newest datalog and my current MSQ. Please take a look.

DROVE IT TODAY... Finally have it running, just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped to this point. I still have a little way to go with getting it to start reliably and tuned well but I have a solid idle and it is driving smooth in under no boost conditions... havn't been brave enough to boost it yet. Thanks again
