I'm using this harness from RS Autosport. It is very much worth the $$$$ to use it. The labeling on each wire is da bomb-diddy:

I also bought this shielded wire from DIY Autotune to use for my CAS signals:

I still plan on doing a writeup of my MS install as soon as I get my engine built and stuffed in.
Here's a teaser:

^hey, that's the one I got like 2 years ago!! It was really nice until I saw the diyautotune one. There are positives and negatives to each harness. I like em both, but after helping to install the DIYautotune harness on a friend's 88 TII within the last 1+ month, I kind of prefer it instead. Their CAS signal has a built in shielded wire (shielded at the ECU ground) and alot of their wires have a thicker gauge. I re-did a wire diagram for my setup, only to find out that there are a few different harnesses on the market.
I've been planning on doing an MS install as well, but considering I'm running 56k and the fact that I took ALOT of pictures..........lol

Ninja edit: Mounting the MS in the glvoebox is looking pretty good, I may consider going this route.

rebuilt with new seals and housings in June 2006, wasn't running till about July.
Brand new S2 Housings Exhaust ported
S2 Tallport irons turbo ported
S3 (lightest 12a rotors) Rotors clearanced with new bearings
3 Windowed Rear stationary gear, both stat gears new bearings
12AT apex seals, new 12a springs
Solid 3mm corner seals, RX-8 corner seal springs
RX-8 oil cages and springs. 12A oil seals.
Turbo oil return fitted to s2 front cover
Probably less than 10 000 miles still.
Revs cleanly to 9500rpm. And it well out breathes the rejetted nikki carby that was on it before.
The map sensor reading dropped down to ~80kpa past about 6000rpm. Still made 115rwhp like that tho.
The goal is 250rwhp at 180kpa, I doubt I'll get that but heres hoping!

I just got the standard throttle cable working on the TII manifold also.
I hacksawed 2 washers and then slipped them between the two factory nuts.
The throttle opens completely, but I need to adjust the throttle in the cabin, because WOT for the throttle is only 50% travel for the pedal, which I think would be disastrous in the even of a throttle stab.
Tomorrow I'm ordering a POD filter and buying a fuel line cutter, and hopefully installing the fuel system tomorrow

I'm pulling together an '83 Renesis with MS. Computer is done, but I'm way early in the project, still collecting parts.
In fact, any suggestions as to crank sensor approach, front cover ideas (I was going to stay stock RX8 cover and RX8 mount brackets, and make adapters to mount to the subframe).
Would I be better off with an S2 or GSL-SE cover/sensor, or make a 36-1 to mount on the crank pulley?

the ms2/extra 2.0 betas support the 36-2-2-2 crank wheel on the renesis, and the renesis COP spark outputs... not to mention with that many teeth you'll probably get more accurate timing vs a 12 tooth wheel.

Nice bumblebee build you have going there Quasar. Interesting that we both have builds going at the same time. Here's the one I'm currently doing for another forum member:
I thought I had more Hylomar than I did so I will resume tomorrow after a trip to Napa.

I still need to mod my front cover for the 10AN bulkhead fitting before I can finish my build. I'm using a cover from a 6 port N/A engine and setting the turbo front cover on the shelf, I think it will look cleaner the way I'm thinking of running my lines. So if anyone needs a S4 turbo front cover let me know.
