Alcohol Inj on Megasquirt?

I just ordered a alky. kit
http://www.alcohol-injection.com/uni...n-kit-p-8.html.
im getting a v3. board MS, & was wondering how would i let it control the alky kit? would it act as a progressive controler?

on this link http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/waterinj.html
if u look at bottompicture it shows a "aquamist fast acting valve" would i need that?

Has anyone done it before? i would appricate the help!

you can run the alcohol injection with the MS water injection setup. just replace the boost sensor in that kit with a fast acting valve and it will work mint.

sure or any other one rated for flowing water. the only difference between a water injection and an alcohol injection is what liquid you pour into the resevoir for it. the mechanics are identical pretty much.

the kit you referenced has a boost trigger making the unit self sufficient which can screw up other electronics that arent designed to anticipate it. if you get the valve and set the MS to control it, it will be prepared for any changes and can tune for it the instant it hapens instead of slightly after it (time for sensors to pick up the change and then the ECU to interpolate the changes)

check most race car parts places like Jegs.com or Summit.com. there are other places online that are cheaper that i cant remember off top of my head. just hunt around for fast acting valve.

First, I am running the aquamist system with the stainless high speed valve. Second the only difference between water and alchohal injection is "ALCHOHAL".... Alchohal is VERY corrosive, only stainless steel components can handle it. Aquamist systems are rated to a max of 50% alchohal and water. If you run straight alchohal you will pay. As for the kit your link guides to, it WILL NOT HANDLE IT!!!! All of aquamist components are stainless steel. That kit is a $50 shurflo pump and brass fittings, the brass fittings will oxidize in a very short time causing leaks and pump failure. Run only water through that system. Read the aquamist forums and listen, learn the technology you plan to purchase so you know how to use and not waste your money. To have an accurate system you have to have a high speed valve to match your injector pulse width.

I hear that Aquamist is getting ready to release a Shurflo pump based kit soon.

To Quote Richard L of Aquamist on the SRT forums

"As Jack has mentioned, we are planning to launch a new range of Shurflo based system very soon. The main reason is combat the escalating cost of the dreaded GBP/Dollar rate plus "fuel price related" transatlantic shipping cost. Shurflo USA has been exceptionally helpful in giving us a good based price to build our system from. Now we have to make sure we designed and deliver the final goods at a reasonable price and performance."
