Description:

Looking to try and sell my rx7 so that I can finish flushing out my reptile sanctuary, this car has been with me for many years, never left me on the side of the road, and has been my lovechild for the past 5-6 years

Rebuilt 13b with lightened and balanced rotating assembly with video from the process.
Over $15,000 spent rebuilding,  5000~ miles on rebuild,no expense spared was built to last me for many many years and miles, no issues in sight. OMP is deleted, you must add premix on fill ups.
Low PSI Wastegate 50mm turbosmart currently on a 5 psi spring just to cruise around and sound / feel badass, engine can safely handle much more upwards of 22+ and haltech makes this easy , owners discretion , springs for WG included.
IGN 1A ignition system
GReddy Profec Boost controller.
Mazdaspeed white gauge cluster original with car and only 31k km
Haltech 2500 Elite Ecu
HKS T51r Turbo with complete custom manifold and custom downpipe/exhaust/wastegate system
Seibon CF Hood
AC & PS Delete
Rywire Custom Milspec engine harness
Custom CF Headlight covers and mazdaspeed wing blade
HKS Intercooler system with custom cold pipes
Interior is mostly clean and intact, a detailing will bring out the true low mileage of this car.
Undercarriage is mint/fine, no issues with rust or damage.
Sunfaded exterior paint in places, a few tiny dings on the outside, all CF parts are new, I was going to just build it all Carbon.
OEM books and all import / DOT  documents along with clean Virginia title ready to transfer anywhere.

Im sure there is things im forgetting to add, this car helped me re-find myself and the things I like to do in life and maybe someone else can finish the paint and body work and have a killer go & show car, I cannot spend any more money or time into this vehicle as I have found my true lifes passion and am working towards an animal sanctuary here in  Norfolk, Virginia

Any questions don't hesitate to ask. More video/pics upon request and as soon as I can find some time.

Willing to come down a bit on price, if theres any interest. Considering Im going to be at a loss either way, you can never get what this is, easily. the amount of work is extensive and its ready to ride. Get a new bumper and scuff and shoot some clear and you have a very nice , fast FD Rx7.

thx, should add the engines in optimal health, no weird issues like excessive smoking, weird sounds , oil pressures stable , A/F is stable , Also has upgraded dual oil coolers that could use some new fittings & adjustment but otherwise working fine.

Has a tiny belt squeal on startup from brand new alternator & belt , and a coolant to heater 2 pipe that has slight ozone damage/ will crack eventually.
Will fix these tiny easy issues with sale/prior to sale.
Priced to sell. Guesswork removed. add gas, premix, and enjoy.

This is a scam. I would know, I'm currently out $28k for this exact car, lmao. I won an ebay auction for it from this user, with the same name and email and all. Sent him the money, he took it and ran. Was pretty responsive before, but became very hard and then impossible to reach once the check cleared (or PayPal in this case). That was just about 3 months ago. I have done my level best to reach any kind of solution with him, including offering to send even more money to just finish the sale, but nothing came of it. eBay motors' buyer protection is shakier than you might hope so they're actually not going to cover my losses here. I'm filling paperwork with a lawyer on Friday and we'll see what a judge rules, but we all know getting a judgement and collecting a payment are two separate things and even if the seller pays everything the wages lost to time off work and the fees paid to lawyers and courts, I'm not going to break even here. Just thought any interested buyer should know.

It's half my fault. My Spidey-Sense was tingling early, but I wanted to believe so here we are: With me being a big believer in escrow services. I don't even have it in me to be mad about it anymore. Even now if he popped back up and was like "Hey sorry, I had several more dental emergencies (he stopped texting me for two weeks because he broke a tooth). Let's finish up this mess!" I'd do it. I'm not here because I'm just chasing him across the internet out of spite. I was literally just browsing RX-7 stuff and saw a familiar image. Figured I might save someone some money. I'm eventually going to get back about half of what I sent through eBay's Vehicle Protection Program so I'm """only""" out $13,000 but that wouldn't be the case for someone he got on here.

This guy never paid full price for the car, you paid a deposit and never finished purchasing the car buddy, we agreed on a price, you didnt pay the price and now you are up here flaming me?

The deposit was non refundable, this buyer never even contacted me. Very suspicious buyer. I dont trust selling to you at this point.

For added context to interested readers: The original eBay auction only went to 15k. He refused to sell at that price point, which I didn't have a huge problem with because my auto-bid was set to higher anyway and the car is legitimately worth more than that, it's just that other bidders did not push it up. In messages we continued to negotiate and that's why/how I paid more than the auction wound up at. Vehicle protection plan only wants to cover what the auction went to, which is why I only get a partial refund.

Your own payments would indicate its not the price. You neglect to show the ebay message that would indicate the price, also, I have no idea if you were planning to do a chargeback the entire time, this entire deal was a wash, The fact that you wanted to send a wrecker , not sign the title in person, you never once contacted me by phone we have no idea what you even sound or look like etc. My thoughts were you were just going to file for chargebacks anyways after how you approached the entire situation it reeked of scammy vibe. I didn't know at the time I should of asked for ID before allowing you to send anything.

Not only this but furthermore, you neglect the text of me begging you to finish the deal, I was willing to take the risk that you weren't going to try and charge-back scam me but alas, here we are.

Send some photo ID, join a video call with ID, pay the money correctly/ give back to insurance etc, as now I have negatives everywhere , im not unreasonable. You never finished paying even when i begged for you to do so. You have 48 hrs to make a decision and find a reasonable answer you tried to make it seem like I was asking for more money when the ebay message clearly stated exactly how much the car was. me having an issue I thought was giving you a window of time to finish paying, and was a generous act on my part. Stop playing the victim here, you have stressed me out enough.

The eBay message in question:

Further: I responded to your message "begging to finish the deal" with questions because if there was something like a lien, eBay does cover that and we could get that sorted rather than me randomly throwing money into the void of "Man who loves to ghost me" on blind trust. And then this thread right here is the first time you have responded to anything I've sent you in the months since. I also cannot even imagine your thought process in thinking "The money has already cleared to my account. He is clearly going to scam me. Better just hang onto his money and the car both. If he would have made the 900 mile round trip road trip, wasting days of his time and hundreds of his dollars in gas and accommodation then he definitely could not have done whatever same exact scam I was scared of." To quote you: Stop playing the victim here, you have stressed me out enough. I'll tell you what though: My offer still stands. All of them do. You can refund me the difference between what I paid and the $15,000. The company that handles refunds has taken this long to even indicate to me what they cover and takes a full month to respond to any of my questions. It'll probably summer again before I get a refund at this pace, so you'll be able to hang on to that 15k for however long. You can actually just refund me yourself and I'll call up that company and the lawyers and just tell everybody "nevermind" and we can both be on our merry way. Or in this thread you talk about a non-specific price reduction. I'll still come up to you as much as it remains the cheaper option. This is also the thread where you flatly lie and say that I never contacted you, so I just don't have the trust in me to send you money on faith. You'll have to send the title or put it in escrow or whatever. I'll even privately send you a picture of my photo ID for whatever reason that makes you feel better.

Additional additional context for our audience: I have paid 27k to him, but he has ""only"" received the agreed 25k. How can this be? He got into some disagreement with eBay I do not know the nature of and ostensibly they did not let him cash out the 2k I paid through that platform at auction close. I didn't get 1 red cent of that back so who knows what happened with it, but here we are.

You owed around 3k on the car I can check the full total again when/if we get there, and in text , like stated, I asked for you to complete the transaction and finish paying the amount, you then start to rage at me , insinuating that im some sort of bad guy "what did your dental surgery cost more now you just want to charge that to me" something along those lines no, you never finished sending the money and I got injured , when in reality, you refused then and there to pay the car off there saying that wouldn't work for you , I never agreed to pay transaction fees on the money that was sent you could of just brang cash or mailed a check, I requested a clean 28,000 into my account .

At this point im really not even sure how to proceed with you is my problem.

You would need to call us and show us two forms of ID on live feed along with yourself , finish paying the cars total off, fix all of the chargeback issues , then you are welcome to have the car.

On eBay you agreed to 25,000 as I posted in my previous reply. In that very text you're talking about, which I also posted earlier in this thread you say that you did in fact agree to 25,000 but it was a limited time price. What doesn't work for me is right there in the text you're talking about. You gave me your payment information and within 30 minutes the money was with PayPal. There was no dragging my feet, no nothing. After a little while I try to follow up with you and you say I am short specifically $750. Not $3,750 or anything like that and it is specifically because of PayPal fees, not a discrepancy in our understanding of the sale price or something. I immediately send $800 to cover that and to this day I have never asked for a bit of that 800 back when talking about refunds. Then you drop off the face of the earth and I plead and beg and wait and reach out for some sort of reassurance that I have not just been robbed. Weeks later you come back around with a new, higher price and say that the old price was only valid weeks ago when I paid it. It doesn't matter is the price was 15k, 28k, 60k. There was an agreed price, and then you changed it with an excuse that has no standing. You're out here saying I'm suspicious and it's okay to keep my money "as a non-refundable deposit" because I only gave you my name and address (which is all you asked for at all until today BTW), and the transaction is being handled by a major 3rd party that has access to the rest of my personal information and account info, and now I'm the bad guy for daring to question your integrity when staring down a situation like that? Woof.

You have me dangling by a very thin thread here because the quickest way through this trashfire situation is through it, so I can play along. It shouldn't make the slightest difference if I sound like Soundwave from Transformers or Apu from the Simpsons. It changes nothing about the security of the situation at all if my real name is actually Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne instead of Trevor but I'll play along. I'll call you after work today. You are absolutely joking though if after everything I've just laid out, everything we've been through, here in the very thread where you talk about lowering the price twice, you ask me to get a clean 28k into your account. I'll give you some more money, but not that much. As for the chargebacks (which you encouraged me to pursue and I only turned to months after the fact): I haven't received any refunds. PayPal turned me away because they don't guarantee automotive transactions, I did not agree to the partial payment from Auction Insurance Agency (eBay motors) and it was never formally offered to me anyway, I was only told it was what they "would" cover. If some chargeback did happen like you're implying, you'll need to forward me emails or activity statements or something so I know who to call and have some sort of reference like dates and transaction numbers to talk to them about. If you can give me that lead to chase down though, I will call them the moment you give me any reason to believe things will work out this time. The title without the car, the car without the title, money in escrow, whatever form of guarantee or collateral you are able to use in place of the good faith neither of us has in the other.
