Just giving these guys a baseline to know what they're going up against. Chill out bro.
Know thy competition. Real simple concept.

Who pissed on your cheerios? Go back and read the thread. I was asking the one guy what year C6 he thought he was racing or going to race, for a performance comparison. Then I mentioned what the new 08 C6 is capable of.

(at why you thought someone pissed in my cheerios, cuz I would had thought the same thing) again sorry about that
You quoted me and then said "all they have to do is XXX to vette and it's a XXX HP" which had nothing to do with a 310 RWHP beating a STOCK C6. So that's why I asked you what your point was and what it pertained to the topic at hand. If anything it's a compliment that one has to put some rather extensive mods to beat another car that is STOCK.
Just so you know I'm a vette fan. IMO it's a superior to the FD. 11 years newer, reliable rock solid engine with 150 more ponies (and smog legal), handles extremely well, good looks (yet IMO not better looking than the fd ), has tons of room for improvement and still be smog legal.

^Yeah, but have you ever really felt the C6? The interior is reminiscant of a KIA in quality, body panels that can be pushed in with one finger. LEAF SPRINGS!!! I'd switch over to coilovers ASAP if I had one. Anyways, I'm just saying that they are made cheaply... but damn they are quick.

GVWR is NOT the actual weight of the car, it is a rating. Read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GVWR

Edit: ^^ beat me to it
sooo... I looked at mine: GVWR 3210 lbs???? Humn I had to get to the bottom of this so I made a thread.
here's what came out of it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GVWR
"Gross weight is often confused with curb weight, which represents the weight of the vehicle with no passengers or cargo. The difference between gross weight and curb weight is the total passenger and cargo weight capacity of the vehicle"
there you have it 3210 lbs is maximum allowable weight.

^I said I wansn't a fan of it, not that it didn't work. Hence the "... but damn they are quick." statement. However, imagine what you could do with some adjustable coilovers and whatnot. Could be fun.
