Mounting for GT-A wing

Chris, can you answer my question about mounting for the brackets on the GT A wing? Shouldn't there be some thick washers or mounting pedestal, or is the two screws coming up from the bottom of the hatch into the brackets enough? Seems like there needs to be more metal around the screw holes or there would be risk of the screw heads tearing through the hatch metal.....

I am going to have Mike Lock build my cage this winter and I will probably have him help mount the wing, since they've done it with two other wings you've supplied them.....

I am aware of a need to supply larger washers for underneath and it is something I will mention to Kevin... I know I had to use a smaller washer for the bolt head diameter and a larger one to give what I thought covered anough area to ease my mind... I know the problem I had was having a flush area for the washers to sit on underneath. The only problem I see with bolting it to a cage it being able to open the rear hatch... Maybe something we should look into is a base plate underneath but people must understand is they probably wont be able to mount plastics back on the hatch but I am pretty confident that large washers should hold it...

There were a few people interested in sending a deposit for the Odula sidesteps GB, they had some questions about price breaks if they were to buy more than one set, but kevin was not available at the time to answer the question. What's your take?

F1blueRx7... I will try to get you a quote before the end of the day your looking for just the diff. bushings correct... Nothing Else?

MaczPayne... I can talk to Kevin about multiple purchases but I am pretty sure the GB price is set by the minimum number... So say we need 6 orders to make something at $300... And 3 people want double orders we cant offer a further price break... But say for instance we meet the minimim of our 6 orders with 6 people and further orders want to be made while the GB is still open I can ask Kevin about giving a small discount to those people... Let me know if that answers your question... Once I get all the info from the threads organized Ill have a bit more info right now my answers are pretty generalized.

Thanks

Ok, Chris, that's what I figured - I will head down to Ace and find matching inner diameter washers with larger external diameters and make a stepped setup. I figured that they won't be perfectly flush to the stamped metal of the hatch. I don't plan on keeping my internal plastic parts - I'm stripping them out this winter along with the carpet and other non-essentials since this car is track only, and slowly losing its streetness. It would be a nice if you guys built an underplate that was matched to the form of the underside of the hatch, for those folks show manage to keep their car in street form but have your wing.

Sounds good. What's Kevin up to? He told me he just got back, maybe he's got some more business to take care of state-side?

whats the status of the FD carbon fiber group buy still waiting for a response are you guys shipping out any? out of the ones who sent in the deposits only one person has has gotten a response and supposedly shipped out to him. what is going on? considering I was the one who got kevin to start the group buy how come I was not informed or anyone else for that matter, that its ready for shipping. no word from kevin or anyone for almost 2 months now had to find out from a fellow group buy vendor about this.

natothegreato...Laz93RX7...
I have talked with Kevin and gave him a huge list of things I needed him to update me on and get me up to speed on...both of those projects are included... I plan on having updates within the next week for both of you guys as well as most the other products... Shipping, Availability, Production quotes, On-Hand... I am getting caught up on all of it... I know Kevin has got a bit behind but he tryed to play superman and it caught up with him... I am glad he reached out because I am glad to help my fellow rotorheads... As far as what Kevin is up to his new job has him traveling overseas a lot and he is having problems getting full access to the internet and can not always get on the forum from where he is... I plan on trying my hardest to help things move along smoothly and we appreciate all the understanding there has been to date... Thanks

LOL what a joke. A guy steps in to give "updates" but gives absolutely no updates.

I mean really how long does it take to organize updates? About 5 seconds by my count.

I am awaiting the bushings price list from Kevin... As far as the odula sides he said additional discouts will be availalbe to multiple purchases but the discount will be determined by total product sales... He also said this discount is available on all products by making multiple orders...

What about the CF interior that people have been asking about for 6 months that both Kevin and you his new reliable customer service rep never talk about?

My point is your are supposed to be providing updates. You have been on the "job" for a week and have provide zero updates about the CF interior GB.

Its a shame to because the product is pretty damn good.

Hey thanks for your opinion Nate but do you have a few hundred dollars stuck in a deposit with some company that hasnt told you anything for over 2 months? Probably not

How is it a perk to have a company ignore you? You are a ******* moron and a tool. These companies need customers WAY more than we need them. Go back under the inbred rock you live under and let the grown ups talk.
