South Florida Veilside Combat 2 FD3S( N00B)
Hey guys,
Names Wes. I've been lurking on the forum here since i got my Fd, this site has been a big help in diagnosing problems and getting the FD to where i want it. I'm located in West Palm Beach, Florida literally minutes away from Pettit Racing. Cam over at Pettit is the man when it comes to anything rotary related and has helped me a lot. I am fairly new to the rotary scene. I've been driving 240s since i started driving, I'm very familiar with the Ka-t motors, I've built a bunch of them and made decent power. I picked up this FD not too long ago from Ruler Mark and love the damn thing. It has its occasional head aches but thats the way things go. Also dipped into the VIP scene for a while. Drove a Stance BMW 740I on Work VS-XX's (hella aggressive setup) I picked up the car in pretty good shape without paint and tune. First thing was to get it tuned and running right. The motor was a Lopez Racing motor with turbo 2 rotors and large street port, made 450 at about 16 pounds creeping up to 17-18pounds . That was fun, didnt last long though. Detonated Dropped in a JDM spec motor. That didnt last long either. coolant seal blew within 2 weeks. Now im on motor number 3. This one looks promising. Its taken me 3 motors but after carefully accessing what went wrong i think i can make this one last much longer. Anyway currently I'm a broke college student at FAU freshly out of the Marine Corps where i spent the last 5 years of my life.
Some Specs on the FD:
Veilside Combat 2 bodykit
Veilside JDM Gauge Cluster
Veilside carbon steering wheel

13B-REW street ported

Welcome the the forum Wes. Yup, I use to rock the autocross with my 93 240sx hatchback, but I kept my KA stock never had the pleasure of a turbo.
Full suspension and chassis bracing and brake upgrade I was golden.
Great to see you have a FD.
