Are Rx-7s an addiction?

So after a 2 year hiatus and an ugly farewell, I want back in. Does this happen to any of you? When you’re into them, it’s the only thing that matters, then you realize it consumes a lot of money + time and end up hating/selling them, only to come right back to them. Is this an addiction? Sure sounds like one….

Im in the addiction phase right now. I don't know why there is such a big push for me to make my 7 the way I want to down to EVERY LAST DETAIL. My finances are a mess right now. Its awful.

+1, I'd say they're an obsession though, not an addiction. It's all I think about.

^ ^ I'll 1up you ... I have a Psychology degree.

If it is interfering (negatively) in the day-to-day functioning of any aspect of your life, (career, relationships or finances) it is certainly as much an addiction as gambling.

I think it can classified as an addiction, no problem.

RX7's are addictions, obsessions, and money pits!!!!! But I have owned one for 15 years and loved every moment of it!!! Most RX7 owners that I have ever talked to seem to have a similar story. It's a passion.

But I must say I have been contemplating selling my car of 15 years and getting something else. People say I'm crazy (especially my wife), and I will be kicking myself after the car is gone.......Could this be true???

TX

i would have to agree with the addiction. been getting strapped for cash, and my fiance and i we're ready to sell it to help us out with debts... we took it for a spin the other day and slapped each other for even thinking about it. we forgot how much we both loved driving it LOL
